It was not what I expected. I already had a ring doorbell and 3 removeable replacement batteries. With this particular model when the battery needs a recharge you have to remove the whole doorbell and be without coverage.Read full review

Not same unit as my other one not happy
I purchased this ring because the one I bought last year was refurbished and died in a year so I thought I was getting the same one turns out this is a older version and the entire ring device needs to be charged . I have to set up differently so not happy I did my research but I guess I didn’t understand . I have to hire someone to install just unhappy.Read full review

The RING 2020 doorbell worked fine after the totally dead battery was charged. It was annoying that he unit did not have the security screws attached, requiring me to have to buy them from RING. A warning was sent out by RING not to use regular machine screws in the unit, doing so possibly interfering with the battery, possibly causing a fire.Read full review

Only thing was there was No screws for the plate or to hold the Ring to the plate, good thing I kept the old Ring to use its screws, I also was trying to replace the old Ring but this Ring has a different setup for the bell wires the one I took away attached o the plate and the new one attaches to the actual back of the Ring which I wasn't expecting cause my wires are short coming from the house but I'll make thi gs work soon Read full review
