Put the red top about 12 feet from my back door and within minutes flies were around it. Certainly keeps the flies from the house. I have used these fOr a few years now and am happy. The only downside is they are not the nicest thing to look at. Maybe a non see through bag would be better.Read full review

Red Top fly catchers are absolutely fantastic. I get through about 6 every year in my garden. I must kill about 200,000 fly's. I have tried other makes but none catch as many fly's or start working as quickly. I have put a real red top next to a cheap version and the real one will fill with fly's whilst the cheaper version will only capture several hundred.Read full review

A simple plastic bag that needs a very sturdy rod or branch to take the weight of the dead flies and the smelly liquid.

It was a seething mass of dead and dying flies within a week. We live on the edge of woodland and in hot weather, the flies drive us mad outdoors.
