Quipall 5250DF Dual Fuel Gas Portable Generator with Electric Start

Great generator started almost immediately

It only took about 15 minutes to unpack and get this ready for use. I connected it to a 20 pound LP tank and it started in just a few seconds using the electric starter. I ran it for a minute, shut it off and tried the pull starter. It took right off. I haven't been able to give it a hard test as yet but it ran a compact freezer with ease. The engine didn't seem to notice when I turned on the breaker.

Key start does not have enough power to start on either fuel and it will not run on propane.

My expectation were not extremely high for this generator, and I will say that as far as rated power output it performed better than I expected.

The reason for the rating being "Meh not impressed" is the fact that two of the factors in buying this item versus others was the dual fuel and the key start. Upon receiving this item and putting in oil and adding the wheel kit, and charging the battery, I attempted to start it up using propane and the key start. Upon messing with it for half an hour and never actually getting it running. I put gasoline in it and used to the pull start, and it fired right up.

I let the unit run for half an hour and turned it off then re charged the battery, and gave it another shot. My final conclusion is, the key start does not have enough power to fire the unit up using either fuel type and the generator will not fire off using the pull start while using propane.

So if you want a gen set that runs on gas only and has to be starting using the a pull rope, this fits the bill. Read full review

Cant get it started!

I purchased this September 2019 and upon receiving it I unpacked and assembled it. Put some fresh gas in and it started right away with the electric start. I then put it away in my garage and didn't need it until May 2020. I once again put fresh gas in and attempted to start it but IT WOULD NOT START. So I hooked up the propane tank and it started right away! This time I ran it for about an hour and a refrigerator on it too see how it would handle the load. NO Problem!! As it turned out I wouldn't need it again until March 2021. This time I tried using the propane gas and IT WOULD NOT START. I tried using fresh gas and AGAIN IT WILL NOT START. So now I have generator that won't start with either fuel source. Very disappointed!!

good value generator

Have only used it a couple weeks now but it seems to be holding up well. Starts right up with the electric starter. I keep it in the back of the truck and use it to power a concrete circular saw, rotary hammer and 220v wire welder (not at the same time). Have only tripped the breaker once when saw got bogged down, plenty of power for my needs. -does take two people to put in truck but is easy to move around. I will be curious to see how it holds up over time. Have not used the LP feature yet but I like knowing that is an option, especially out on the farm.Read full review

I bought it to use with propane as it doesn't go bad in the tank and I can use it right away .It works perfectly for that and I can run my 2 refrigerators ,AC and tv w/blue ray in the bedroom and several lights . I
also have a gas generator to run several other things such as the Microwave ,Toaster Oven Washing Machine another AC and a few other things . My electrical power has gone out twice and the 1st time I didn't have this generator and it took to long to get the Gas one going . Seems to be a great generator, works with propane great.

I unboxed and assembled. There was no instructions, but honestly, putting on two wheels the handle and installing the battery. I used propane for ease and longevity of fuel storage.

It started right up. I ran it for a half hour without load and without any issue.
