A good way to keep your Quicken data creaking along in the 21st century.
I don't like this version of Quicken as much as Quicken 2000 - but then, I've been using Quicken 2000 since 2000 so I'm a bit too used to it. This version has some features that feel like genuine upgrades like the so-called quick access bar which takes up too much space in the rather cluttered windows and removing features is hampered by the help not being too much help. The program occasionally crashes when asked to backup but otherwise behaves well. It doesn't make much sense to spend too much time reviewing what is an ancient bit of software. Suffice it to say that, if like me, you can't function without Quicken to manage your day-to-day finances, this download is just what you need. Need to make sure if will do the job easily.
The product itself is very adequate for it use which get limited simply because it can not import some the bank downloads without fair amount of time and effort.
This is the case since the support including upgrades are no more since long. Easy interface and dispkay makes it a great treat if you are not flooded with bank and credit card entries!Read full review

Welcome Back Quicken UK
Thousands of Quicken users were bereft when the US company Quicken stopped updating and selling the UK version of their well-known personal finance program. What's was even worse was that updates to the Microsoft Windows operating system (after XP) made it impossible to continue using the last (2004) version of Quicken.
This new revised version of, the classic 2004 version of Quicken (Quicken XG 2004 R2) is being remarketed along with software tweaks (to be loaded separately) which enable it to be run reliably and safely on Windows 7,Windows 8 and Windows 10.
Former Quicken customers can again use their favourite personal finance software and download bank/credit card and share transactions into Quicken - a process which avoids the tedious business of entering transactions manually.
It all works just as well as it did in back in 2004. One minor snag was that my bank no longer exports data in the Quicken QIF format - but DOES do so so in the QuickBooks QOF format. I now use a simple QOF to QIF converter to make the data compatible with Quicken UK before importing it into the program.
My credit card ocmpany though DOES still export data in the Quicken UK QIF format - so there's no need to convert credit card data before importing it it's already in the right format but other Quicken users may need to check on their own banks and credit card issuers.
All the familar features of Quicken are in this Quicken XG package and I'm delighted to have it back on my PC.Read full review

Amazing! Until last week our old laptop was literally “limping” along on Vistra. Until I saw this product I thought we were going to lose over 25 years of input. Upgraded from Quicken 98 that I had been using for over 20 years. 98 worked fine under Windows 10 but felt I needed something more up to date. I was dissapointed to see that the last UK version of Quicken was in 2004 but I thought it would be improved over 98. Even though it's over 16 years old, as with 98, it works under Windows 10, looks a lot more modern and is very fast but took a little bit of getting used to the slightly different lay out. Excellent value. Having used Quicken 2000 since then I was reluctant to upgrade. But having to move from WIN XP to Win 10 (the 2000 version won't run properly on XP) I have had to upgrade to Quicken 2004. I now have this working on WIN10 (but I also believe it will work on XP) it took me a few hours to get used to the new format and functions. Unfortunately when converting my 2000 file to the 2004 format, some historic security price data was lost.
However I now have 2004 version working and working it in tandem with 2000 on my old computer. Will do this for a month or two until I am completely at ease with 2004.Read full review

Quicken for a Windows 10 computer.
After using Quicken for many years I was having to keep an old computer running as the version of Quicken I had would not run on a modern system. This version installed with no problems and my backup files loaded without issues. I just followed the instruction and it all worked.
The text in the register was rather small but I discovered that if you open, Edit, Preferences, Quicken Program, Registrar, then Fonts you can change the size of the font which makes the register much easier to read.Read full review
