I had one of these reels prior to my order on Ebay. This is an excellent beginner baitcasting reel and a great bang for the buck. Shipping was on time and free. I got this one for about $10 less than my first one. Works great with 6'6" medium/heavy rod. I got it for smallmouth bass fishing. Watch Youtube to learn how to properly cast without backlashing. Also, practice in the your yard prior to actual fishing. It will definitely help once you get on the water. I would recommend this reel to anyone that wants to use a baitcaster reel. Learning Curve

It seems to be a really good baitcaster but like most baitcasters there is a learning curve. I have already caught fish with the reel and it performed very well. I had some terrible backlashes but seem to have it adjusted to fit my skill level and it is now working well.Read full review...

Best bang for the buck!!

Would rate a 5 star but with my hand formed Bill Dance Quantum rod the little knob on the bottom right of the reel rubs my index finger at the rear knuckle. Probably the way I cast it. Other than that, I love these reels!!Read full review...
