Pure One Elite Series 2

This is a great DAB radio.
I have three of them around the house, one Series 1 and two Series 2.
I bought a Roberts radio before this last one to use in the garden, as it used normal rechargeable batteries and had a built-in charger (the Pure requires a special battery pack at about £17), but the reception was poor, whereas the reception of the Pure is much better.
There are some small differences between Series 1 & 2, but the main one for me is the volume control, which is much finer than the Series 1, so it's not all or nothing anymore.
Would I buy it again? Well, I think I have enough of them, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quality DAB radio at a reasonable price.Read full review...

All radio plastic parts became very sticky

Good radio and sound.
But all the plastic parts of the radio became sticky, nothing helps !!
The company does not offer support for international buyers !
They want an UK address only for repair\replace the radio !!!!

Great radio

Simple to get set up and running, good sound quality and reception and loud enough. Early days still but not expecting any problems with a radio of this quality. Very happy with the product and click and collect a very convenient way of shopping. The only downside is that if you want to use it as a portable radio you would need to invest in a 'Pure' rechargeable battery which costs almost as much I paid for the radio. Absolutely great

I was replacing a Pure Talksport DAB, and already had the compatible chargePak.
A good step up as this is stereo, has a pause and replay later feature.
At the price I paid it's an absolute bargain.

Minimum issues

I love this product, arrived quickly, adequately packaged. The set up was fairly intuitive, with lots of options, I think I spotted the cosmetic issue which made this a bargain price but it was so tiny I'm still not sure. The sound quality is excellent, exactly the upgrade I was after, if I was to make one negative remark and this is entirely subjective its that the volume control could do with a more gentle gradation, and maybe the light to be a separate option, choice is no light or touch anything and the very bright light comes on. Great reception and sound

Bought the same radio about 5 yrs ago. Used it for work 5 days a week every week. It gave up the ghost last month. Saw this 1 for half the price i paid. Reconditioned it says but looks brand new to me. Bargain! I originally chose this 1 over a similar priced Roberts. This picked up far more stations in the shop. And the sound was much better. I bought the charge pack for £30 and it allows me to place it in a safe place in the room so i don't knock it over and break the aerial.(im a decorator) this lasts for about 5 days(8hrs) on fm or 2-3days on dab . Powerful, with excellent sound

The 5w speakers produce a good, undistorted sound, loud enough to fill a large room if necessary. It scans and tunes to stations well in DAB and FM, with plenty of presets in both, though there are no individual preset buttons. Overall, am very pleased with the product.Read full review...
