good but take care
this product is good and performs well generally. What needs to be restated is that Preparation is essential to getting this to work. I had a Suzuki 500 tank rusting on the bottom corner and needed to get compound inside the tank to hold seal .Also at bottom of tank there is pressure when its full of fuel. I made some copper wire into an L pushed that through with the compound an pulled it back to form a seal either side of thin tank steel. Has held and seems to be OK after a few weeks. previous attempt dropped off after a few years. Beware of Supernarket petrol which has high Ethanol content and makes this sort of repair very temporary in my opinion.Read full review

It works, but not on a wet surface
This putty does NOT work when you try to fix a tank where the surface is wet with petrol!! I followed the instructions exactly, applied the putty to a surface wet with petrol still leaking through a pinhole, after 12 hours the putty was still soft and petrol was still leaking.
I tried again later, this time with the fuel tank nearly empty so there was no petrol coming out of the hole and the surface was dry (and cleaned up with a wire brush). This time the putty worked just as it should, 12 hours later the putty was hard and there was no more leak. A month later now and it's still fine.
This was for a small pin-hole - it advertises that it can fix holes up to a penny in size, I cannot confirm!
If the instructions said it would only work on a dry tank, it would get five stars, as it is a really easy and successful solution to a leaking fuel tank. It only loses points by claiming to work on a wet tank when it does not.Read full review

Petrol Tank seal
Was Quite hard to mix but eventually was workable but not for long. Applied along the weld of my petrol tank but did not easily take to the surface. Might be good in a different situation but for the leak I had something like epoxy glue to paint over a large area was needed. Its fairly cheap and sets rock hard and is certainly worth a go but do not expect it to do totally as advertised.Read full review
