Good But Not Great

After having this model for a few weeks I think it's a good robot for the price but there are a few things that could be improved.

Pros:

- Good navigation (though slightly flawed, see below)
- Mops aswell as vacuums
- very quiet
- Control over water flow whilst mopping
- Limited controls are available via the app
- Moves fast & due to intelligent navigation system can clean rooms in no time

Cons:

- I found it quite difficult to connect to the app & wifi but once I eventually got it set up it worked well.
- Goes over the same space over & over sometimes. I often have to pick him up & move him to another area.
- Won't work on dark carpets. My carpet is grey/white flecks, not too dark but he just says 'the wheels leave the ground'. I found a workaround using white electrical tape to cover cliff sensors. Bit fiddly but works well, though needs re-doing every few uses.
- when mopping he doesn't get close to the edge. Theres about a 6cm gap.
- High suction power is let down by bristles on the brush being way too soft. Because of this it doesn't pick up as well as it could on carpet.
- Emptying the container isn't easy. There's easy access to the filters but took me ages to figure out how to open the actual dust container to empty it.
- No lighthouse or magnetic tape included. Would be good if a software update could allow barriers to be set from the app.

Overall it's a decent little robot. The intelligent navigation is its strongest point. Instead of bouncing off walls randomly like most others it goes up & down in a logical pattern similar to Neato & Roborock models, although the Proscenic hasn't quite perfected it yet. But it's still leaps & bounds ahead of other models in terms of navigation and I think this feature alone is what the higher price reflects.

If not for its navigation & ability to quickly re-evaluate a route around obstacles it would be just a run of the mill, mediocre robot.

In my opinion there are 2 major flaws that prevent this from being excellent. One is its inability to work on dark surfaces and the other is the ridiculously soft bristles on the brush, making it not use on carpet.

I would recommend this only to people who have light coloured hard/wood/tiled floors. And be prepared to wipe a few inches round the edges where the mop can't reach.

Surprisingly good for the money

It won't completely replace your regular vacuum, but it does a great job of keeping on top of things between more thorough cleans. I've been surprised at how much dog hair it manages to pick up every day, and we have a German Shepherd cross that sheds constantly. Gets into corners reasonably well. Rugs are a bit hit and miss though. Heavier ones are ok, but it rucks up the lighter ones sometimes. Cleaning pattern is a bit random, going over some areas repeatedly and missing others, but if you use it regularly it covers them all eventually. You'll need to pay a lot more to get smart mapping functions. Overall I am very pleased with it.

*Update*
Although the cleaning performance was pretty good the robot has proved very unreliable. After just a few months it developed a fault where one wheel was not turning and it just spun in circles. The seller promptly replaced the robot, however the replacement has developed exactly the same fault, again after just a few months. Nifty little cleaner

Good little machine, Robust, easy to use, quiet, very good at handling rugs, door and carpet rails. Surprising how much dirt it collects. Tried using the app but after many tries gave up as cannot get it to connect to app after it’s connected to WiFi. Also no mapping feature or program where it just goes back and forth in straight lines hence 4 star review. Preferred the 790t model but that was faulty on arrival so purchased this model as replacement.Read full review

Mobile vacuum cleaner is made from good quality materials.Second is easy to operate although I found wifi configuration a bit tricky. Good little hoover!

Wondered how good this actually would be. Easy to set up with android phone, Alexa and remote control and no issues with them. Tried it out this morning and I as amazed to see how much it picked up despite only hoovering with an upright a couple of days ago. Was at work and used phone app to have a hoover.. came home and the difference was very visible and it had again picked up really well. Better than expected

Great robot cleaner

All very good! Really please had one for 3 yrs the died. The main problem is it’s to sensitive to stripy carpets thins it’s off the ground or on a step and the water tank get stress cracks after a few uses then leaks made a complaint and got a replacement and try hg e same thing hapoend.

Generally wouldn’t be without it cleans the house twice a day which keeps the dog hair to a minimum.Read full review

Every home should have one

This product is amazing, so good that this is the second I've purchased, this one is programmed it to clean every other evening throughout upstairs while were watching TV. (Both carpets and laminate flooring), the other is programmed to mop the kitchen floor every night while we're asleep. Once you've set up the schedules your're ready to go. I do make sure there aren't any obstacles that could get in the way (fluffy rugs etc) but that's all the work you have to do just let the Bot clean and remember to empty it. Faulty machines

was happy with the machine until one of the wheels stopped working after a few months rendering the machine useless. Proscenic took it back and swapped the machine only for it to happen a few months down the line and they won’t fix it again so ended up out of pocket. Also the battery stopped working and they had to send a new battery out. Wish I’d of spent a bit more and gone with a better company.Read full review

Great value for hard floors

I love this vac. Have had a few before such as roomba but love the fact that I can vac and mop at the same time. Could not get the Alexa to work but to be fair the remote is great plus you can select the boost higher power 1200 pa suction I compared to 1000pa on it which you cant do on the app. I use the app and remote to control it. I will do a YouTube review video in a couple of weeks . A great buy for hard floors really can’t go wrong if it lasts at this price. I run it every day on vac and mop and the level of general dust in the house has decreased a lot.
