Closed Cell Foam is the way to go

I used these foam inserts on some 1.9 RC4WD Mickey Thompson Wheels that I mounted on some ProLine 1.9 BF Goodrich KR2 Bajas and it made the install easy and fit nicely. Just had to use longer screws (M3x12mm). You can run them without the white foam if you wanted too. Read full review

Great in any 1.9 tire that’s 5 inches tall or taller

While these are great foams they are honestly, far too big for any tire shorter than 5.0 tall. If you put these in a typical 1.9 tire that’s 4.7 tall, they will be hard as a rock with zero give. In the 4.9 tall Trepador they are ok but again, these will overstuff a typical 1.9 tire. When they say XL, they mean it! ProLine needs to redesign these while they still have a market because everyone is moving to 3D printed tire inserts or going with a tried and true company like Crawler Innovations that makes several different sizes and densities of foam instead of ProLine’s one size fits none approach. Worth the Purchase.

These Dual Stage Foams work Better than Stock Foams, they are a Little too big and don't work as well with Other Brand Tires like they do for the Proline Tire Brand. Still Very Good Add On.

Dualstage foams....

Seam to work ok, but the open cell part of the insert moves around inside the tires. It tends to throw the tires out of balance and miss shapes the sidewalls. I am running tires in the predator compound. So they may work better in a harder compound.Read full review
