solar powered frog water feature

Very pleased with this product. The price is very reasonable and with this in mind I was not over 'expecting' yet surprisingly the feature is weighty and substantial, works very well, easy to put the two pieces together. Unlike some solar powered water features, it does not (so far), seem to run out of water when the sun is weak and then the water 'dribbles' over the side. The sound is pleasant, not too overpowering or irritating. I would recommend this product.Read full review

love my little green frog

The fountain is good quality and has a strong pump but I did expect the solar panel to be charged by daylight but it only works when in full sunshine so fountain not working as much as I would have liked. Think this could be explained on the sales site.Read full review

Love the frog

Luckily I found this easy to assemble but there are no instructions included. Have put shells in the pool part & it looks really pretty. Really nice soothing water sound too. Would have given 5 stars but only fails on the fact it only works in extremely bright sunlight. Have a solar pond pump exactly same motor but that works in pale sunlight too.Read full review

I had this item for several years until last winter (2017/18) which was a killer. Unfortunately the fountain was left outside and water froze solid causing the bowl to crack and split in two. This is a point to remember, if your winter climate is anything like ours in Lancashire then you MUST drain this unit and store it out of the way of any frost/ice/snow threat. A previous reviewer stated that there were no instructions provided. These are in the small box which encloses the solar unit, behind a cardboard flap. The ceramic will chip easily so must be handled gently and when fully set up and working is a joy to listen to and watch in the garden. I would personally put a layer of clean washed pebbles/gravel in the bottom of the bowl and maybe some small (artificial) simulated pond plants. DO NOT USE living plants as the bi-products will clog the pump filter. Lastly keep the water level topped up as the pump tilts upwards and will fail if air is introduced. Finally, the solar panel does not include a battery so the water flow will cease/pause when the panel is not in the sun. This seems to surprise some buyers but it is a solar panel, not a rechargeable battery!

Almost perfect!

Lovely item, very well made apart from the bung that goes in the frog, it is not a proper seal. I have had to silicone seal it... otherwise the water runs out of the bottom of the frog and the bowl ends up empty very quickly!!

Perfect

For my ferrets outdoor enclosure.....they love it! Plenty of room to get their heads in and 'snorkel' and dig in the water. And the frog water spout is just right when the sun is out. I don't mind that it's not on all the time but it is lovely when it is. I cannot fault primrose at all, this is the second one I received as the first was faulty, the customer service was excellent, they sent a replacement straight away.
