Handy Fryer
Great to have a little deep fat fryer that is not cumbersome. Heats up quickly. Of course, the oild gets really hot wihich it should when deep fat frying. The bottom of the fryer gets really hot, so we put it on our range, NOT THE COUNTERTOP. Clean up is a little challenge, but when dealing with hot oil and the residue left after using it, you need to expect that. Need to let sit for a while in order for the oil to cool down and pour into another container in order to use the oil again. After draining the oil, just wipe out the inside of the fryer with paper towels, then put a couple drops of dish detergent inside it, a little hot water, wash with sponge, dry and done. No big deal for us. Read full review

Fry Daddy...,just ok
It’s easy to use but needs some kind of cover while cooking because the grease splats all over. It also doesn’t have a warm up light so you don’t know when it’s ready to put the food in. I wouldn’t buy it again. I liked my smaller one better.Read full review

I'm glad I won the auction and now have a deep fryer that doesn't take up too much counter space.
You get what you pay for, so, for the very low set price, it fits the bill.
I wish it had at least these two features: a temperature control, and/or a timer because the oil gets very hot, very quickly. I don't know if the oil continuously goes up in temperature; remains at a fixed high point; or what's going on.
Unfortunately, there's no indicator light to let you know it's hot enough. I burned my hand touching the outside to see if it was warm and found that it was actually quite hot. So hot, that I make sure there are no plastic or even paper items anywhere near it while I'm frying, I'm afraid the plastic might melt, or the paper catch fire.
I've not ever had a deep fryer like this, have done all my frying in a frying pan with about ½ to 1 inch of oil, which I controlled with the heat setting for the burner. This was a new experience.
My cooking experience: The french fries browned very quickly but when I took them out they were undercooked on the inside. To remedy this I cooked the next batch (2 Idaho white potatoes) of peeled and cut fries in the microwave for three minutes, covered with a wet towel and, scattered on the plate to form an even layer. As they were semi cooked when I put them in this deep fryer, they were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, and cooked inside.Read full review

Lightweight and economical
I have an old FryDaddy which I have been using for more than a decade and I needed to replace it with a new one which I couldn't find anymore in the store. There are some accumulated oil drippings on the outside and some scrapings on the inside wall, however, it still does work and serviceable--just needed to retire it. The new one I just bought is exactly the same as the old one I had. I do like FryDaddy because it is lightweight, uses only about 2-3 cups oil and cooks the food fast. Then you can reuse the oil for future frying. Just remember, however to pull the plug off as soon as you finished frying as it doesn't have an on-off feature. Also, as soon as the unit has cooled off a bit, clean the outside part with warm paper towel and put the lid on before putting away.Read full review

Great fryer, less oil, no basket to clean.
These have always been great little fryers. They only need four cups of oil. Less oil to buy and deal with when done. Always cooks at the right temperature. With the non stick surface inside and no basket there is nothing for even battered food to stick to. The plastic scoop works well and does not damage the inside surface. Great for two or three people. The early ones did not have the magnetic power cord connection so they have even gotten a little safer over the years.Read full review

FryDsddy
Had one for 40 years and used it often, it finally gave up the ghost. Was not able to find it in the stores. My sister suggested eBay, so glad you had it. It came in a timely fashion and I quickly had my French fries. If this one last 40 years it will outlast me. Thanks eBay!!!Read full review

Best Little Fryer
I could not be without my FryDaddy Deep Fryer. I use it all the time for corn tortillas to make my own chips for salsa. It is fast and food tastes great. Of course, it makes the perfect french fries too. It is very easy to clean, but I reuse it a couple of times before I change the oil. It is perfect for me as I am a family of one.Read full review

Presto Fry Daddy
This is an awesome product for frying seafood, French fries, etc. There is no basket for your food or breading to get stuck to and the metal spatula is easy and convenient to use. There is no temperature control, just plug it in and let it heat up to its fry-ready temperature which it maintains consistently throughout.Read full review
