Proper chuffed.....and i'm quite fussy.
I am very pleased with this machine. The quality and features make this machine an excellent choice. It can take a 5KG roll of mig wire and the wire feed mechanism is metal not plastic like a lot of other machines in the same price bracket. The controls and torch have a quality feel to them and it's easy to use straight out of the box. Smooth welding action with stable current delivery, I was able to lay down some decent looking welds within minutes of unpacking the machine, hooking up some gas and i'm a relative beginner to mig welding. Only small gripe was that I managed to break one of the latches which holds shut the side compartment door. The latches are a bit flimsy but I'm so chuffed with the performance of the set that i'm going to forgive them for that.Read full review

Great 'cheap' in price but not quality - its great for way less than the next best I have used
Absolutely fantastic product for the monay I have much more expensive (and larger) welder which has always been my standard for a good machine and so far this meets all the requirements.
Good smooth power delivery
strong and smooth double wheel wire feed (this makes so much difference against the cheap stuff) I have a few machines and this is as good as it gets in the under £1K mark and still around £400 cheaper than the 'named' equivalents of a lesser spec which dont supply the 5 in 1, lightweight compact and beautiful to use, if you go for this you will never use a 'cheap' welder again, only problem I had was the instructions came in polish and not english but they sent me the english instructions, also the switch names are in polish so I have created my own labels for it, there are a couple of other machines on ebay but significantly more expensive, I reviewed the specs and dont believe there is any if anything this unit is better and has more functionality - Its really great Read full review

Powermat 220T MIG MAG welder
After two good month of using the welder I m satisfied with it.
The pros first.
The machine looks well made. The torch looks good and not fragile.
Welding with electrodes (MMA) works good. The arc starts is quick and maintaining it is easy.
MIG MAG welding with Argon mix works great. The welds look good and base material penetration is ok. TIG is not very useful since it is a scratch start TIG but where electrode is always live. But if you are buying for mig welding it is great affordable machine.

Compact package with useful features.
Have tested it on Mig and MMA, works well, provides a smooth weld. Had to buy an additional MIg guide wheel for 0.6mm wire, standard 30mm wheel so no issues. Instructions in Polish but operation self explanatory, have tried to download an English version to understand how the wire feed control operates. This appears to be automatically controlled but there seems to be some effect when changing Amps when in Mig, however all appears to work as intended. Purchased this welder particularly as it had a spool valve socket for ease of swapping to aly welding.Read full review

great all rounder
absolutely what i ordered, very good quality although i couldnt say the same about the instructions and settings and of course the missing item in the package.
all round great performer for the hobbyist or the professional welder, fairly easy to operate, build quality is great, no plastic wire feed like some other welders.

Powermat mig welder
I bought this as a budget welder for light work and it's great. Easy to set up and use, smooth arc, great results. Welding from 1 to 5mm easily.
I'd definitely recommend this to any car or hobby welder.

Poor packaging
The welding machine works perfectly, but it comes in the wrong packaging and there was damage to the hull. There was also damage to the helmet and the plastic wire reel was also broken and made it difficult to rotate in the machine.Read full review

5-1 mig
Good bit of kit. You need a different regulator if you’re using argon gas, this one is for co2. The gloves a bit cheap aswith the helmet but works fine.
