Has trouble starting disk play

Nice unit, and once it's playing it sounds great. Often, though, when changing disk selections, the subsequent disk has trouble starting and has to be re-tried a 2nd or 3rd time. I have not yet tried removing the cover and cleaning out the unit; that may be the only problem.Read full review

critique of PIONEER PD-F1009 301 CD Player 24 Dec. 2016

My complaint is that this model has no way to avoid certain tracks as my Sony 300-disk player had. The Sony had a provision for the user to delete specific tracks from CD albums per each of the disc's 300 slots–––a handy omission of the tracks that one doesn't like. This is handy especially if one doesn't want to fool around with complicated programming which usually differs between the various players. Also, during one use so far with only several use-periods, the Pioneer player "locked up" during random play. I had the same problem with the Sony machine. When this happens, the machine must be cleared by a manual advance of the random play or switching off the power, and switching it back on. This problem of interupting the play of the music louses up the convenience of the random feature.

I guess that the answer is to put all your music on your computer or other such device.Read full review

Somewhat disapointed

a-OK but did not hook up to my existing PDF-1007 unit for continuous play which is what I was looking for. Remote had corroded batteries in it, but still worked after cleaning. No instructions, so still working on the programing application with it & the remote being different than the 1007's. Still a good deal, just could have had more info.Read full review
