Philips CDR775 2-Disc CD Recorder

Let down by a pathetic manual.

It is a brilliant machine but one gets to know how to use it DESPITE the manual. Once you manage to negotiate the incredibly vague instructions it is a joy to use.

It is easy to use and the machine has been well designed once the vagaries of the manual have been overcome.

Fail to record CDs

I bought this device (apparently) in order to use it for CD recording and not for sound reproduction.
The problem is that the device cannot "recognise" any blank audio CD and therefore is useless.
Which means I have been totally cheated somehow....

requires a special cdr music disc 74min 650mb for recording

but it was phillips first cd player no other disc will record

Playback deck did not work would not even open,had to bid for another one on ebay as parts and put the cd drive from that into the first one i purchased.
