The item works as it should and of it's type it's about as good as it gets.

Fitted mine myself (very handy DIYer) It's a fiddly job, tiny errors could see the whole job going pear shaped.
r>There's only just enough edge left when you have cut your hole through which to drill holes to fit the frame; I have no doubt if you fit them for a job it would get easier.
Very tricky to cut a hole in a UPVC door in situation. (expensive mis-cut!)
Take your time and work carefully.

Nothing to do with the cat-flap, but my cat thought it was the portal of doom and won't use it. I can now get him to go through (two months later) if I actually hold the flap up and he's desperate to go out.
Still being woken up at night, at times, with the cat trying undo the downstairs door. (pulls the handle down lets it go with a bang; plus yowing)

Nice basic product - does what it says

This was a replacement for an exact same product that had broken - its a nice basic cat flap and doesn't make a noise when the cats are coming in and out unless they are tearing through it! As the price reflects if the cats really batter through it it will wont last forever but as a basic entrance - its great and easy to fit once the cutting has been made in the door.Read full review

Cat flap review

The product seems to be of good quality and functional. However, the cats are having some issues with the magnetic door securing device having more resistance to opening than the previous cat flap. They tend to push the flap with there pores first to see if its locked. Having a magmatic catch it keeps shutting. However i think this is something that they will overcome in time. The fitting is a little tricky due to the close proximity of the fixings to the edge of the cat flap door and the fixing screws are very small.Read full review

Basic but does the job.

This is a very basic cat flap that suited my needs perfectly, but I wouldn't reccommend it for an outside door as all the neighbourhood cats would be able to get into your house. I used it on an internal door so that our cats have a small entrance lobby where where they can eat their food in peace without the risk of our dogs eating it. They leave dead mice just inside the cat flap as titbits for Shadow the Labrador, who can just get his head through the flap!Read full review

However having said all of that, I would bring to your attention the actual physical opening for the cat to enter, our cat is average size and can only just get through it. Problem with fixing screws

I bought this product as a replacement to an older one of the same type which had been excellent. However I did find that the replacement bolts supplied were very small to handle once they had been cut to size. Also there was hardly any finger room to attach the nuts to the bolts, it took a long time to do due to tiny size of nut and the moulding in the cat flap exterior. A spare long screw would have been useful in case of under estimation of length.Read full review

Arkward to fit.

Lightweight frame, fixing holes close to edge of hole for cat access, arkward fitting. Works when fitted but design details are poor and could easily be improved to make fitting and operation better.

My only slight issue is that the position for the screws/bolts to fix it to the door are quite close to the area that needs to be cut out of the door for the flap to work i.e. you have to quite precise and careful with the square that you cut out of the door.Read full review
