Takes a bit of strength and deftness to set this vicious thing up ! Powerful spring action. Good size for rats .
I used peanut butter. First night the peanut butter disappeared but no rat.
Second night same happened but this time I caught two slugs! That was messy! Will try again but i'll never know if the slugs set it off or they just were in the wrong place at the wrong time! Lacks the "Hair Trigger to be effective)

The trigger is not sensitive - the mice can take the bait without triggering it.

I have traps of 2 other types which have caught mice with the same bait.

Currently trying with heavier, stickier bait, but the other traps have cleared the sheds already.

Lethal but fiddly to set- watch those fingers!!!

Don’t waste money buying anything else

These are the best iv tried, we have brought loads of other brands and none of them came close to these I put out four traps and got 30+ rats in one week

Very Impressed R.I.P. rats.

Top quality very keen price, the trap is easy to setup and has a safety clip so no need to worry about injuring yourself. So impressed I purchased some for my neighbours.

fit for purpose

Not as good as the USA model but a quarter of the price. It has a weaker spring and is a lighter build and although as yet untested by any rats I do not see why it will have the desired effect.

Not for everyone?

Needs to be anchored on a piece of timber. Hard to set the trigger. Not easy to use - sorry. Bait taken not triggered.

Metal rat trap.

Very easy to use with a safety feature. Small catch for use when placing the trap,stops it going off. Simple but clever.

Not impressed

If you want a trap that works right out of the box then this one isn't the one! To get them to work you have to straighten the latch pin and cut it shorter! Otherwise you could step on it yourself and it wouldn't go off..... Read full review

needs stronger springs 4 traps set for 5 weeks in tunnels to protect non target animals between all traps tripped 17 times only 1 small rat dead and 1 trap disappeared so maybe 2 dead. if trapping outside rural rats larger gamekeeper tunnel traps are betterRead full review
