It Works
My item arrived in plain white box with no instructions.
This item works very well once set up but the angle of the water is far too high and will miss the target (A Grey Heron) I can identify no way to adjust the height so I have marked it down a bit (3 stars) I may have to find a different spray fitting.
The plastic water tube looks prone to frost damage so I will get some lagging to insulate it from the frost.
Should it get damaged I could get an all metal base but it would need an adapter fitting to accept the pestbye.

rabbit scarer
do need plumbers pliers to put together as connections need to be tight to stop weeping, have had it in position for a wk and rabbits seem to be scared off and my garden has had no new destruction.

Leaks galore
I bought this to get rid of feral pigeons from the garden as some reviews had indicated that it did work. Putting it together was easy enough but when attached to the hose it leaked from all the joins which wasted a lot of water. I thought I would like to keep it as it did go off when the pigeons flew in front of it. I bought some sealant and sealed where the stand pipe attached, and the seam where the top of the box joined the bottom. This did stop the leaks. The sensor is very sensitive and goes off when the wind blows plants. There is no way of altering the spurt/distance of water but you can adjust the angle of the spray.
The pigeons have worked out how to avoid the spray even though I have moved it around.Read full review

Too many minor gremlins
This product worked very well, sensitive PIR with a good distance adjuster. The problem is it leaks the connections are not robust enough to enable tightening to with hold household cold tap pressures by reducing the pressure you don't get a good water throw. If you use the extending arm it is too flexible and the wind moves the 'head' thereby operating the jet. I would also be concerned the water hose would pop out of the couplings when I wasn't away for a few days.
For it's money it is good value glad I didn't pay more

Detects cats and the sun???
It aint bad, but when the sun goes in or out it triggers it off (as it works of tempreture change) so yer batteries if they aint durecell are dead within a week. Also, seems to leak which makes a little pond at the base of it.
If i were you, in my experiance, go for a solar powered one so you dont have to worry about batterys every 2 weeks and keep an eye out for false squirts/sun coming in and out of clouds and leaks.
Does keep cats and foxes of your garden tho so if the above dont bother you then this will sever yer intermeidiate needs.Read full review

Best purchase ever!
Me & my husband bought this to set up near our backdoor at night. We lock our cat in At night and we had a scraggy cat come pestering in the middle of the night trying to get in.
Great fun setting it up and being the guinea pig... absolutely wet through. Took a few attempts to get the distance of the water just right but wow it’s fab!! Does make a bit of noise when it’s spraying but it didn’t wake me last night and it has definitely gone off because the path was drenched! Then on a morning fully turn the dial to 0 so it doesn’t go off through the day at soak any human visitors!! I’d highly recommend this.
It takes 4 AA batteries (apparently regular will last up to 3 months depending how often sensor is activated, my tip would be buy rechargeable ones) And it does come with an extra bit of pole if you want it higher up, we just used the stake as we need it close the ground level.Read full review

Does its job with patience.
The idea is great but being of plastic construction lacks a degree of solidity. The ground spike really needs to be metal as it is too flexible to support the sensor and water jet assembly rigidly enough. This means that it is able to move in the wind which sets it off for the wrong reason. I set mine up in a sheltered position which shielded it from any wind disturbances.
It takes a while to set an appropriate spray pattern, but once done it does its job OK.Read full review

Worth buying - great deterrent!
