Great trainer, great value.

I'd thought of buying an exercise bike, but with 2 cycles in the shed this was a very practical alternative: especially as I am exceptionally tall and most exercise bikes do not have sufficient saddle adjustment. It folds neatly to mimimise space used when stored, and is very robustly built.

In use it does not have a flywheel effect. It takes a bit of getting used to compared to road cycling, using the weaker of the settings as you build up cadence. On the stiffer settings you can really simulate hill climbs, especially if using stepins and blocks to push and pull.

With my cycle computer transferred from front to rear wheel the trainer provides me with instantaneous and logged ride data to equal the most expensive exercise bike. Long term I'll probably get a hard tyre for a spare wheel as trainers do tend to wear the tread more quickly than road use.

Good, but effectively useless

Easy to assemble as it came already made, thus making it very easy to fit bike to. The instructions were easy to follow as you only have to fit a few parts together.
However, the resistance on the wheel is very inconsistent (I.e it changes throughout the wheels rotation), this makes it very uncomfortable to use. The resistance dial also seems to be useless as it doesn't effect the redistance in the slightest.
Even though the instructions for assembling the product for use where easy to follow, the inconsistent resistance makes it very uncomfortable to use. Therefore I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT.

Does what its says

Bought this for strength building after knee injury. Arrived as told, good quality easy to assemble and fits my Trek. Magnet effort loading is a tad hit and miss but using the gears and applying slightly more pressure at the back wheel adjustment does the equivalent.Read full review...

Right Product - Right Price :-)

With so many variations of this type of thing available and price ranges that make you wonder what is wrong with the cheaper models, it was a bit of a leap of faith to buy this one when I was looking to resurrect my 1978 BSA Tour de France as an exercise bike (Reached that age)...However, if you are looking for a simple quality reliable turbo trainer, I don't think you need to spend anymore than this. This product gives the Ronseal guarantee.....does exactly what it says on the tin! (feeling the benefits after two weeks of early morning exercise - great product, but should come with a recommendation at least for padded shorts!)Read full review...

Excellent bit of kit

Easy to fit to my wife's bike as there was no QR skewer, it simply clamps in place, adjustable resistance works fine and can be supplemented by using the bikes gears.
My tyres are too knobbly to use with it but if you have reasonably smooth tyres it's great.
Delivery was fast, good price and quality, can't really fault it.

Good For Winter Exercise

Compact and lightweight for convenient storage. Aligning the wheel axle nuts with the retaining sleeves on the support frame needs a little patience and some effort to hold the wheel in position while engaging the support sleeves.. Operationally the exerciser offers the benefit of being able to use the normal bike gears to select the exercise input effort. Significant noise occurs if cycle fitted with mountain bike tyres! Overall a good form of cycle exercising.Read full review...

Not 'all singing and dancing', but practical, portable and very useful.

Appears well made, robust and well finished. Everything needed in the box. It hasn't been given a proper trial yet but first impression is that it will stand up to the job. Good price to include p+p compared to some others I've seen.Read full review...

Does exactly what it says

It is robust, well made and easy to install. The tension functions well and gives a good range of resistance.

Good value

Very well made and extremely easy to set up. Gears work fine if a little clunky but tend to use the bike gears anyway. Is pretty noisy when pedalling at speed even with a turbo specific tyre.

Very noisy

Very noisy using a cross country tyre, you'd do better to get a nice cheap slick tyre. I went to a bike shop with my back wheel and they sorted an appropriate one out and (for a fee) changed it over for me.Read full review...
