The new version of this tester is better than the older one. Worth the money and it now uses an easier to get battery. Very useful tool indeed.

Quick, accurate, easy to use, and of excellent value
I haven't stopped using this since it arrived. It is helping me sort through thousands of components I have, many of which have no markings. It is quick, accurate, easy to use, and of excellent value to me. It won't tell you everything about every component, but it tells you most of what you need to know in order to sort them out and start to figure out what you have. Some components it says it is either "bad or unknown" but at least those can go into a bin to be further tested later and in other ways. But for a fast, accurate, easy to use way of seeing what you have, you cannot beat this. Read full review
