Great product, but if for gi spec cup it requires you to move metal.
Great product and very well made for non spec cups. If you have a spec cup the lid is too big at the center of the cup. The easy fix was to put the lid in a vice and use a hammer/punch to shape the concave radius area of it. Don't get in a rush and check the fit frequently until you like it. It only took me a few min and it fits perfectly.
I expected this not to fit the spec cup when I purchased it. $8 and 8min of work was worth every penny and second.Read full review

Nice Chinese lid for American GI canteen cup
This lid fit both my vintage GI canteen cups good enough for Government work. I was worried that it would not, but it works well for me. I don't like the fact it was made in China but I guess no one in America can make it, I guess for $6.00 I'm not too upset. I hope Dave Canterbury doesn't move to China.Read full review

Good lid
Pathfinder is always a better designed product. It doesn't completely fit my 1952 canteen cup but I can live with it. Just keeping the ashes and bugs out anyway.

Pathfinder canteen cup lid
Fits my genuine US military 1990s issue canteen cup with butterfly handles perfectly. The genuine US military issue canteen cups are superior to the more commonly available Chinese made Rothco and having a lid that fits well on these is a nice find.Read full review

Works with my surplus canteen
US 11 SLH surplus canteen.lid was tight I guess you wold say at the center of the kidney shape. All it took was one light tap with a hammer and the lid then dropped down just fine. Not all lids work with all canteens . Do your research. I could probably take some time to make it fit perfectly but it’s in working order after just one hammer tap. Not bad!Read full review

Quilty produvt
I do use it camping and the lid helps heat the coffee faster and because of the vent holes I know when it is steaming hot. I've used it to boil eggs and it makes the canteen cup a working cook pot. I really like this addition to make a full working canteen cook kit which is always available in my to go bag.(Just add water and start cooking). Read full review

Saved me twice already 4253460r04
Great Canteen one item concerns me is the lid is easily cross threaded and the one I received has the gasket ring which makes you tighten it down firmly without leaking when put on its side but I would buy againRead full review

Does not fit standard USGI canteen cup.
Decent stainless material, fair enough weight, good sheen. Made in China. Does not fit my 1990s standard USGI canteen cup. Lid does not fit flush. Different dimensions of curvature. It will serve its purpose as a lid, but loosely. Read full review

Get one, you won't be sorry.
I have 3 of these, just ordered 2 more and they fit genuine USGI butterfly handle cups fine, as long as your cup lips aren't bent or dinged. IMHO better than the Rothco versions, and more than up to the task. This is probably the best value in lids out there.Read full review

Canteen cup lid
Lid did not fit my 1944 GI cup. With a little hammer work to the lid and cup it sits on the cup but is not a snap fit. It should be better than trying to fit foil over the top.
