No more shop bread

I love this machine. It is so easy to use, easy to clean, not messy and not noisy. It makes the best bread. I have made spelt bread, white loaf and ciabatta so far. I have played with the recipes by partially substituting flours and everything has turned out amazing. Yum. The bread takes so much better than shop bought. Best ever breadmaker

In my opinion this is the best bread machine ever invented. My 'old' one has lasted for several years and still continues to provide high quality, well baked loaves. The reason for buying another is quite simple, I wanted to 'future proof' my bread making.
I've never used the machine for cakes, there are better ways of doing that, but I do use it for quick loaves, speciality breads and a whole spectrum of doughs. In the several years I've been doing this, the only failures have been due to the limitations of my recipe making skills and not to any deficiency in the machine.
My biggest sorrow is that Panasonic have 'upgraded' their offerings in the breadmaker market and, as far as I'm concerned, have never again reached the quality of this machine.Read full review

My life saver

I have severe arthritis cannot sadly make my bread by hand do this breadmaker is the next best thing for me. I also have severe bowel problems and can only tolerate malted granary bread, this machine makes a wonderful loaf which I can eat without any problems ! What a joy, makes my life more bearable. Best bread maker

This is the third SD255 I've had, Makes the best bead of any bread maker I or my friends and family have tried. I've wrecked 2 by switching it off partway through the cycle and re setting the End time. I think the dough is too thick for the motor when the machine starts up again and it burns out the motor or at least weakens it. SO Don't do that! otherwise its brilliant.Read full review

Rather belated review - I bought the machine last year!

Easy to use

This is one of the best bread makers ever made, newer ones don't come close, I do confess to mainly use it for mixing dough as I prefer bread rolls, but it does great bread as well.
