Great value
I’m still exploring all the options with this camera, having stepped up from a LUMIX TZ, but so far so good. The special effects menus are a delight to use, and the camera feels solid and well made in the hand. I bought a SD card reader that plugs straight into my iPhone for £6, and a Panasonic cable to connect camera to laptop for editing for a similar amount. I paid £120 for the reconditioned camera on EBay and I use it mainly on a camera pole for stability. Looking forward to seeing how it performs on macro.Read full review

Panasonic just ok
Used for bird photography auto focus poor, image quality just ok.
Long zoom ok but don’t use full optical range.
Have been using auto settings now changing to apature and shutter speed.
Think a shorter zoom but bigger sensor may be better.
But great for holiday and general photos just not quite up to my birding needsRead full review

LUMIX FZ72
The long range zoom 60x is ok when there is no heat haze also need a steady hand at that distance.Pity that these type of cameras do not have manual zoom like the Lumix FZ50 which is so much easier than a button. Not a heavy camera easy to carry will find it handy to use with my FZ50 when needing a longer zoom.Read full review

Panasonic LUMIX DMC fz72
I bought this camera to try to get close up photos of wildlife without the weight and baggage of a dslr and lenses. I knew there would be a compromise on image quality but I have been pleasantly surprised at how good it can be and they are certainly good enough for identification purposes. Light and easy to carry so this will be the camera I have with me when I go birding. Excellent value.Read full review

Great purchase
Purchased for recent trip to Copenhagen. Very easy to use, set on Auto and you get perfect shots with no effect. Use the different modes and settings to experiement with different scenes and settings and got some great photos. The zoom on the camera is fantastic and as long as you do not go into optical zoom you get geat details with no loss of quality on the picture. The adjustable view finder is good to allow you to swap users with different eyesights. The screen is good to view pictures back, but difficult to use is bright sunlight. Overall great value for money. The service and dispatch was prompt and efficient. Read full review

Lives up to the reviews!
Torn between the FZ200 and the FZ72 - better image vs better zoom - settled largely on the latter for a trip to the Kruger. Just home and downloaded all 600 shots of animals. Quality at least as good as my old FZ100 but range of the lens is staggering. Mostly taken as point and shoot on IA, the results, often snatched from a moving vehicle or between trees, are great. Most impressive bits: fast boot up, quick focus, relatively quick recovery to next shot and great battery life. Least impressive bits are well covered in reviews, viewfinder, screen, low light and limited flash. Under different conditions with time to use the many manual and semi-manual options, even better images should be possible. Love it so far!Read full review

The best
I researched well before I bought. There are a lot of this model for sale and I worried that there was something wrong but I need not have been concerned. It is a great camera, loads of features, easy to use, zoom is fantastic and memory card fits my computer for speedy downloading.Read full review
The best 'Bridge' by far.
This will be my third Lumix in around six years because I'm 'hard' on my cameras. Before that I bought Fuji's and never had one last a year (usually a broken screen). The last Panasonic I had fell in a bog and then it got run over by a quad. It continued to work for at least another year before finally dying. I am trying to look after this one and find it every bit as easy to use and robust as the others. My only gripe is the 'on off' switch that is now easier to use than previous models but also far too easy to accidentally turn on.Read full review

Great camera
Great camera what a change from my phone pictures. Quite heavy when taking photos, but good that it's sturdy, but the quality of pictures are great, also lots of different settings, going to get a tripod and case for it too. Read full review
