Panasonic landline phone

The phone itself is pretty straightforward to set up the basics- stored numbers etc. The display numbers are large and easily readable. The answerphone is just about dis-cipherable, maybe it was my accent in a test call from my mobile, but the playback sounded somewhat echoey, but the ringtones are loud and clear. This is all I want from this phone. There are other extensive options which would require further studious reading of the reasonably easy instruction book, but I don't need them. A real plus - entering the info numbers into the base phone also entered them into the second handset at the same time, avoiding another setup. One criticism to Panasonic - the power line needs to be longer than 4ft, we don't all have a 13amp socket right by the phone jack. I had to rig up an extension lead. All in all, however, this seems to be a good quality, comfortable to handle landline phone, and I am quite happy with both the price and delivery.Read full review

Please note above comments

The Telephones were good value for money .Instructions to set up for the use were provided but no information was included which explained how to get used to the various operational buttons on the handset which therefore required expert knowledge to understand all the benefits of a Panasonic Handset and achieve 100% comprehension of the product's functions Read full review

Good for the money

Thought these would be pretty basic but pleasantly surprised. Good quality with all the basic features you would need. Plenty of ringtones and answering machine works well. Don’t think they are the latest models but easy to set up and use. All things considered they are well worth the money. Would I recommend? ….. definitely yes. Read full review

In Perfect Contact

IThis handset replaced a 10 year old Panasonic cordless phone. It matched my expectations, I like the way the phonebook auto copies to second handset. The 6 favourite numbers is a good idea.

Panasonic phone system rings all the right bells...

The phones are a breeze to set up and the signal from the base-station is more than adequate for a 2 storey, three bedroomed house with the base downstairs in a front room and the remote unit in a back bedroom. Programming is straightforward with plenty of settings options.

The phones look good, sit comfortably in the hand and the buttons and circular rocker switch all function with ease; no hard pressing is required. Conversations, assuming a decent phone line, are crystal clear. It can also double up as an intercom. What's not to like?!

Decent phone

Reasonably straightforward to use. Easy to play back and erase answerphone messages. The base unit has a red light which flashes when you have an answerphone message you haven't heard yet. The speakerphone is handy for when you're waiting in caller queues. Large digital display. Long battery life especially when in eco mode. Stored numbers are automatically shared between handsets, which is good.

The only slight downer is that the handsets can't be stood up vertically as their base is rounded. This means you can't easily see from a distance whether the handset is charged or not. I don't want to leave them standing in the base units all the time as that might cause their battery life to shorten; but I may be wrong about that suspicion.

A good clear phone

These phones do a bit more than I need them to but I do find the call blocker very useful. My original Panasonic phones lasted well and these are a more advanced model. I still use the 1571 answer phone but will try the built in answering machine soon as it holds more calls. So far very pleased.Read full review
