Full featured and flexible triple tuner DVR with free blu ray recorder
This unit replaces a 7 year old twin tuner of a different brand which was very good but no longer made and the remote failed, it had only 500Gb, so having the 3rd tuner and huge 2Tb hard disk is a big deal for me, so much easier to plan viewing. The ability to edit then archive favourite shows and sports to 50 Gb blu ray disks allows free space to be maintained for recording. The remote controller and software are easy to use after a short time and read of the manual, so flexible to record, edit and copy to bluray or DVD. The apps; You tube and SBS work well there are others I am yet to try, the browser is a bit of a miss for me. Very happy with this entertainment control center, skip the ads, just view the show. "Clunky" to use but seems to do everything it's supposed to.
Haven't tried recording on DVD or Blu-ray but PVR functions all seem to work correctly. Operation seems a little "clunky" compared to previous Topfield and Humax PVRs. Finding what you've recorded can be difficult, although the ability to view them by category is nice.
Biggest frustration is the 10 minute "lag time" limitation on Series Recordings. Also puzzled by why it leaves a 1 minute "hole" when recording successive programs on the same channel, rather than recording the 2nd program on one of the other tuners.Read full review

Another winner from Panasonic
This is my fourth Panasonic DVD/Blueray recorder and each new model just gets better, this triple tuner version is loaded with features and Panasonic have refined most of it's operating systems, it is intuitive and easy to use.

Panasonic's DMRBWT955GL recorder is a product with great features
Firstly, I must confess to being a Panasonic tragic. I have used their products for many years and have always found them to be excellent quality, easy to operate and free of problems and defects. Their DMRBWT955GL DVD Recorder/Player is yet another quality product from Panasonic.
It is easy to install and operate, has a triple tuner and huge 2TB of storage for recording. The triple tuner certainly solves some problems for me, there have been many occasions I have missed recording shows because I only possessed a twin recorder. Had this model already but it was 9 year...
Had this model already but it was 9 years old and did not have mpeg4 which now Channels of 7 use in my are. This one is exactly the same but with the mpeg4. Easy to set up and my old remote still works, so I've gained a spare.

Another excellent panasonic recorder
Having had a DMR-BWT730 for some time with excellent results I find the improvements on the DMR_BWT955GL even better so far .It can be a little complicated when first used but it soon falls into place after a bit of practice. Very happy with this machine.Read full review

Panasonic DMR-BWT955GL is excellent
As I had an earlier model Panasonic BW850 so the instructions were fundamentally the same so it made it much easier for me to use. Picture quality is excellent and series recording worked beautifully. in my opinion the only disappointments are that the power on/off and tray open controls are on the top and not on the front panel and a tray open/close on the remote control would have been very good.
All in all the Panasonic - DMR-BWT955GL is an excellent recorder with huge recording storage capacity. Even though it has 3 tuners to record to use the 3 tuners, 1 records to hard drive, 2nd to a DVD disc and 3rd to a USB.
