It's a good machine but complicated you have look through the instruction book very carefully. An annoying feature I thought is that you can't eject a DVD from the remote you have to do it manually on the machine, mind you still have to go the machine to take the disc out anyway. I've got a smart TV
So I'm pleased that the machine will play in HD. You can connect a HD camcorder to it and it will play it back in HD. So overall this a good machine.Read full review

Can only record direct from Freeview

I hadn't checked the specs properly when I ordered this, so sending back without powering on.
I presumed it had either a Scart or Composite input, so that for example you can record from a camcorder.
Unlike previous Panasonic models, it has neither.
I'm sure that it's great for recording to HDD and DVD from the TV input, but not what I was looking for.Read full review

A nice machine with great editing features.

I had an older Panasonic HDD/DVD Recorder model that eventually gave up after 10 years of solid service, so bought this upgrade. My only gripe is the inability to record directly from DTV to DVD or UPS, otherwise a great editing piece of kit. Such a shame it didn't have dedicated audio outs, it's HDMI or nothing, older units had Scart etc., still that's progress I guess.

Panasonic seem to be the only company making DVD Recorders these days and this is an excellent product, especially if you have any DVD-RAM discs to use as you can play and record to them on this machine.
