Panasonic DMR-ES10 DVD Recorder

Great for correcting horizontal stabilisation issues.

This was a 2nd-hand unit; and the difficulty in using it was because the LCD display had faded to near-invisibility. But this fault, which is apparently common in this model. had been declared by the previous owner. However, the brilliant thing about this particular machine is its rare ability to correct videotape recordings which suffer from loss of horizontal synchronization, where the images wave from side to side. I had a number of camcorder tapes that suffered badly from this problem: but after passing the camcorder signal through the recorder's input, the images came back rock steady!
