Great Product
I was very wary of this product when I read the dire warnings on the box about it being a light weight item not designed for stormy weather and don't open it if you are expecting a sturdy awning! Very worrying. However, I had no choice but to take it away for the Easter bank holiday weekend. This was a very tough test indeed with force 6-7 winds and the 'pitch' that I had reserved being 6 inches under water!! It was all I could physically do to stop the awning blowing away whilst I was setting it up. Alone and in the pitch dark! I used 2 storm tie downs to strengthen the windward side and whilst we generally had a very uncomfirtable weekend up in The East Midlands, the awning stood firm and even remained completely waterproof. Well, apart from the stream running through it from the flood waters.
I was very worried about it's durability but it got as severe a test as britain could throw at it and it survived, very muddy but totally intact. Once I've set it up at home for a complete clean, we are looking forward to getting away in it again soon. Hopefully in better conditions.
