Did not work for me

I became totally deaf in one ear three weeks ago and had been using Otex daily since then. It did not clear the hard wax blockage, which was finally removed by syringing at our local surgery. Otex may well have softened the wax, but the nurse told me the ear canal could not have held any more wax than she had removed.Read full review

It worked for me

You can hear it working to break down the hardened ear wax - it crackles.
I used it when I went to bed so that I could be sure of keeping my head on its side in comfort for at least 10 mins after applying the drops.
After about 3 days there were indications that my ear was starting to clear, so I gave the drops another 2 days making 5 days in all.
The following morning I did the wash out as instructed.
Quite surprised at how much came away.

Waxing lyrical

This is a hydrogen peroxide based ear-wax remover and is not really suitable for long term use. However, I found it very effective in clearing quite substantial deposits of earwax over a short period. I will now transfer to a long term usage product.

The product foams up in the ear, both breaking up the earwax and floating it free into a thin foam. This foam is thick enough after a few minutes to keep the product in place without tilting the head, allowing the other ear to be treated.

After the foaming has died down, a rubber syringe effectively removes foam and wax using just warm water. It's reasonably priced, does not irritate my ears, effective and suitable for heavier ear-wax deposits.Read full review

Amazing

My ear wax was really hard and really difficult to shift.
I had to persevere and put the drops in for at least 4 days before trying to flush with warm water.
I put around the3-4 drops in and then kept my head on one side for as long as I could .. until I fell asleep.
After 4 days I put some water that I had boiled and allowed to cook to ‘WARM’ not hot.
I then leaned over the sink, filled the rubber ‘thing’ full off warm water, placed it into the ear as per instructions and and then squeezed the water out with quite a bit of force and then BINGO! …. The horrible wax just flew out with the water.
I wish I would have tried this ages ago.

Amazing!

I have so many problems with one of my ears. I’ve used olive oil for years, but over time I still find myself going to the gp to have it syringed. Thought I’d give this a go to save myself 3hours sat in a waiting room, and couldn’t be happier! Best money ever spent

I have real problems with my ears. I have narrow ear canals and the wax doesn't come out as it should. I've used drops before but it's made them worse as the was dissolved but wouldnt come out. Invested in this and I was sceptical to say the least. I did one ear at a time and used the drops for 3 days and then the irritation bulb. I am astounded at the results. I could not believe what came out of my ear after a few washes with the bulb! Started on the other ear now and saved myself a fortune paying for them syringin privately!!! Blocked ear and stray hair.

Brilliant ear wax remover
