Great sounding amp that isn’t too loud

This amp has amazing cleans and good distortion. However, it does not take pedal boards too well, I enjoy my Marshall JCM2000 DSL, but the police came knocking on my door for noise complaint, with the tiny terror, you can switch between 7w and 15w, and it’s still fairly loud, unlike the higher wattage tube amps, the sound won’t thin out at lower volume. One of, if not the best, little tube amp available. All tube preamp and power section. Lightweight and can handle big speaker configurations. Small but packed with tone. Great Orange styling. Orange Amp ARMY

Looks like I've joined the OAA, Orange Amp Army. I keep looking inside for the diamonds and gold that makes this tiny thing worth so much money, but all I find are Chinese transformers and tubes. The amp sounds acceptable, but really.....for the money the folks at Orange can't put JJs in it?! It sounds TONS better with real tubes, but there again is a classic example of greed over quality. The CEO at Orange flies around in a Lear jet, and we get Chinese trannys n tubes. Quality? Some. Appearance? Looks like a tiny Orange Amp. Sound? Cheap. Until YOU refund it! If they were less greedy, we wouldn't have to pay out of pocket to mod and tube this amp for the sound it SHOULD have from Orange. This little amp is really enjoyable. With great sound, simplicity and portability, you have a tool that will perform in any setting.

I hooked this up through a Fender solid state amp. It beats the snot out of any distortion the Fender can put out. Ultimately, I swapped the preamp tubes out for some Fender/Groove Tubes to give it a little more sparkle in the top end. That did the trick for me. It sings.Read full review
