Worth every penny
I've used the round version of this type of skimmer. And this one is far superior to that one. It only has one side that actually draws the debris in causing a much more powerful suction and cleans the leaves out of my pond with ease.Read full review

Works but.....
I can’t say that the OASE swim skim surface skimmer is perfect so it only gets 4 stars. As far as what it’s supposed to do it’s good and it skims very well for 1-2 days after that it needs to be cleaned. I don’t have a problem with that because that means it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. My problem is that it doesn’t self prime or even prime at all I have to push the impeller with a chop stick to get it to go. After it starts up though it does do the job. If you buy it for your pond and your water is crystal clear with nothing floating then it’s probably perfect.Read full review

Super nice skimmer for medium to smaller ponds!
My pond is under 4 big trees and close to a fifth.
It’s 10’ x 16’ so I needed two. They work really well. They are usually full of leaves each morning.

Works well, does require daily maintenance, as it efficiently filters all of the leaves and seeds that blow into the pond. Only takes a minute to rinse it out however.
