I saw the Wiiu when my brother bought one and was impressed. The games are incredibly colourful and very high resolution with great sound. The controller is easy to use and you can also pair up the Wii controller to play Wiiu or Wii games on it too, a bonus if you were thinking of upgrading but didn't want to get rid of your Wii games. Fabulous aide for the elderly - keeps me out of mischief

Wonderful invention. Our family discovered that the hand screen of the black 32g model works with the less memoried white base. Therefore if your white hand screen gives up the ghost buy a used black one then save for a black base.

Or get a complete black set. I have kept my Wii for its added playability for other games but all the Wii games work on either of the wii u models.

It is a wonderful time filler for all ages.

I just love the undercover cop that chases the clowns. Trouble is I keep getting the car astride a fence or wall and have to chase the clowns on foot or take over a car from its driver.

Keep forgetting I am a 70 year old female OAP.

Nintendo Wii U - Way better than I expected

Lifelong Nintendo fan but didn't even realise the Wii U was a thing after I was unimpressed by the Wii's silly stick-waving. I'm more of an old skool gamepad gamer so when I discovered not only was the Wii U full HD-capable but that the usual Nintendo was great I had to get involved. Recently bought a PS4 on a whim and hated how much time and effort every single game took. Sold it and bought a Wii U with the proceeds. It's superb. PLUS, it's got Zelda Breath of the Wild on it.
