Although this flash is old, it works perfectly and have all basic functions for lit many type of scenes and portraits, plenty of power.
Just in mind that can't use it like controller mode.

Much better than the in built flash

The flash on my D3300 has always been a little disappointing . The SB 600 makes all the difference. The extra power gives you the option of bouncing the light around whilst lighting the subject perfectly every time.

Be carefull and take batteries out after use.
Electronics are weak if batteries leak or stay in too long (pressure on circuit board)
