High quality professional camera
This D200 camera has all the resolution and upgrades that I need as a photographer. Fast auto focus and shooting with great metering, rugged build and great results.I have shot the d70s since it came out and have been very happy with it.I like the color produced by the ccd and Nikon processor and with almost double the resolution of the d70s it was a no brainer for me. This is a great professional camera that produces great results.Read full review

Nikon D200
While the Nikon D200 is most likely the best high quality camera for the money, I was searching for an infrared converted model. Converted wavelength cameras are quite specific and will only take images in the infrared over the 720 wavelength, beyond visible light. As this is a speciality camera, the odds were very high it would be in excellent condition, which it was.Read full review

Still relevant
It's a beast of a camera! Sure it's old but when set up properly and with a little image tweaking this bad boy can take beautiful pictures. I could care less about megapixels, low light sensitivity is really the only area this camera falls short in.Read full review

Older sensor, but still outstanding image
Older digital cameras that have reasonably low shutter counts can be an excellent resource, as is this Nikon D200. It's loaded with features and has still-impressive image quality.

Veteran Nikon owner
This was an impulse buy. Since last Thanksgiving have had and flipped D 90 , 300, and bunch of lenses. I bought this basically as a tele - converter. And plan on converting to IR. But it is in such good shape I might buy a different body. Update took out and used today. Honestly if you find one in as good of shape snap it up.
Pro's Mag body feels like a real camera. Can use Ai-, up until the latest lenses. Focus motor built in. If I have to explain look at how many AF s lenses for sale and refurbished on internet. Plus I prefer manual focus. 10 mp is fine if you shoot in raw with large file selection.Read full review

Pro DSLR for bargain price.
Used Nikon D200 with 55k shutter which is half it's shutter life. It's real bargain price and a advanced camera for anyone. It's a old CCD sensor camera but still rocks and performs excellent in any kind of situation. Only catch I didn't know the shutter when I bought since seller didn't respond but thoroughly satisfied .Read full review

D200 is ridiculous bang for the buck in 2017
I got it to use with my old nikon d lenses and I was amazed at how good the images look for a 12 year old camera. I got this body for less than $100 (I did have to glue down the rubber grip) and it is a real pro camera. If you really want to learn digital photography, this is the cheapest way to do it. There are dials and controls for everything and the body is made of Magnesium instead of plastic like "beginner" cameras.Read full review

Excellent camera
I bought this camera for doing night photography, it has not disappointed please see the image
below.
This camera has produced some very nice images with little to no noise during long exposure photography.
The attached image was shot with a Sigma zoom 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 attached to the D200 setting ( f/3.5 20.0s ISO800 28mm )Read full review

Great sensor, excellent image quality
The CCD sensor produces vibrant and accurate colors. It's a 20-year-old camera, but build like a tank, and its image quality if excellent. As good as a Leica M9!
