Review on the Nikon D7200

I have taken a few photos now and found the image quality was really good. I am still getting used to the controls.
The camera is much heavier than my D5300, almost twice the weight, but it feels much more solid.
It works well with the lenses I already have for the D5300.
As a camera for the amateur, I would place it at the top end of the range for its price. the auto-focus system is quick and with 51 focus points, is adaptable for any type of picture you may want to take.
There was only one point that I found about the kit box. The instruction manual has quite small typeface, but the manual is available on the web as a pdf.
If you are a serious amateur, or even a professional in need of a second camera, this is a good camera to consider.

110% POSITIVE.

This camera has an excellent reputation for build quality/specs etc & despite it being out of production for several years. Most newer models in the same price bracket, have a hard job to equal the results it's capable of producing. It was supplied quickly by the vendor, with good comms & was well packed, though not the cheapest one there at the time, the overall deal was difficult to beat.Read full review

Awesome camera

This is my first DSLR and I really like it. It's packed full of features and it's easy to use. The pack contains a lot of useful extras that makes it a pretty good bundle.

Best image quality under 2000$

If you compare other top brands and FX bodies you will notice that 7200 has lot of same features. In image quality better than some of the top bodies. Fast acquire of focus. Very good construction. Better than 7100!

A 'proper' camera!

Much better quality camera and more sophisticated than I could have afforded new. Really fast to focus and, despite being heavier than my old SLR, nice and stable.

Already getting great results on auto settings - need to download the manual and see what it can really do now.Read full review

So good I now have two

Decided that in some dusty/wet environments i did not want to keep changing lenses so I purchased a second body. The fine tune focus ability means that I can calibrate both cameras for the same selection of lenses and know I can get consistent auto focus results. Where the situation is not suitable for adding Grad filters the exposure compensation and bracketting abilities allow me to capture a great range of information to later blend in PS. Two cards slots also very useful I use one as backup this will be enven more important if laptops are banned on all flights in the near future.Read full review

Big camera with lots of features

Just a very short review, loving my new Nikon D7200, after using the D5000 range for years, I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.

D7200 up grade from D90

Nice feel. Focus is quicker and sharper than the old D90 due to the increased number of focus points. Just wished the screen was not fixed for high and low shoots that's one feature of the sony A77 I do like and wish Nikon should have implemented of the D7200Read full review

Nikon D7200

Very good DSLR camera. Packed with different features. It is easy to use but does require thought on how to use it.

Great Camera but ...

Excellent camera with good build quality, loads of useful features and excellent image quality. Lens feels a bit plasticky and lightweight but produces great images.

Just beware that the lens shown in the main image is not the one that is included in the kit. The lens you get is as shown in the details lower down the page and is not 100% compatible with the D7200 camera - there is no way to switch VR off (e.g. to save battery) with this camera and lens combination.Read full review
