a pocket Nikon
I needed a 'grab' camera, and one that could easily be carried, possibly in a large pocket. The P7000 was the right price, and came from a photographer who had used it this way.
I wanted an optical - straight through finder, and most important a hot shoe. Flash OFF camera but TTL.
Modern cameras, still follow Oscar Barnack's nearly 100 years old design on the wrong path.
Try taking a picture at ground level, quickly, or at 45 degrees down, left handed. Nikon sell an adapter, so you can take vertical photos? !!! (Battery pack)
A major fault with older Nikons is the focussing - using theback window slows focussing but also allows you to take unsharp photos?
However. A very useful addition to my travel photography kit !Read full review
