Fix your internet, Buy it.
This system is easy to set up and has excellent performance. I had been searching for a solution to get internet out to my detached garage for the last year or so. I had seen the Orbi system but was hesitant because of the cost. I bought at least four or five smaller range extenders and access points. I even bought xfinitys 'pods'. Those were all a joke. This Orbi AC3000 system is the real deal. I now have the fastest and most range I could ever have asked for. Example, at the corner of my garage with my old system I had around 5Mbs if it would even connect. I now have around 275Mbs with 40Mbs upload. I was able to install a wifi thermostat in the garage finally. I plan on adding the outside router soon and believe it should cover two acres at that point.Read full review

Expensive but good
Set up was pretty easy. WiFi range is great in my 2300sq.ft house, with brick exterior walls, and plaster and sheetrock walls. I’m still using the Verizon Gateway router, disabled the WiFi, and connected the Orbi and satellite with cat5e. It’s a big improvement but it’s expensive.Read full review

Best mesh router or really any router by far!
The Orbi router system is incredible. I tried a number of other systems and had more problems than anyone should have. This is the TOP in my book. I literally unboxed it, plugged it in (two places in my house), set the admin user and password, set the wifi name and password and THAT WAS IT! Works seamlessly! A must buy for any home network, easy to setup
Had an ASUS RT-N66U Dual Band Router and Netgear Range Extender but was experiencing a lot buffing with my upstairs TV and my speed tests with COX 150MB would only reach about 30-50MB through wifi on my main computer. The ORBI MESH is a huge upgrade. Everything is in the same position as my last setup and my Speeds are 167MB. The buffering has happened with the same TV but its SOOO MUCH BETTER. With the old setup, the buffering would never catch up and id have to switch channels, if it happens now, which has only happened twice, it gets it's self up. I also have 11 devices connected to the Orbi where as i only had 9 before to the only setup. really impressive. Coverage is fantastic.Read full review

Price had me worried, but the product does not disappoint!
I was a little concerned at the great price that was being offered, that perhaps it wasn't actually new as advertised, but it came sealed in the box and set up in no time. Works great so far. Set it up at home to try it out (thought it came with free parental controls as my Nighthawk did, but apparently they are subscription only), and it gave about a 75% signal everywhere in the house as opposed to the direct line hookup. Took it to work when it didn't provide the home options I was hoping for without a subscription, and it works great here. Even better than expected. I get a 100% signal wherever I go around the office/lab. Very satisfied with this unit and it's satellite and really couldn't beat the price. Read full review

Even at furthest point is faster than old router when right next to it. Speed does slow down with distance though. Averaging 230 MB/S on wireless. Very good router combo
The coverage is good in my house. I get good throughput at the main router as well as the satellite. No problems so far. It's a bit pricey, but it is a bit different than the mesh routers also available for near the same price. However, this product has more consistency to it's bandwidth (does not drop as much as you move between base and satellite units). I like it. It does what it advertises. Now if they would add the ability to configure a guest SSID...maybe in a firmware update.Read full review
