Nearly doubled my download speeds with way more coverage

Has very good coverage and pretty easy to setup. Solved the issue of some devices dropping connection with my old WiFi AP. One issue is if you need to have TWO 5Ghz channels vs the single 5Ghz SSID, there is no setting for it in your browser app. You have to go into a telnet connection and do a debug session to program the second 5Ghz SSID.

The app is pretty good for allowing you to monitor the AP units and see which devices are connected to each of the APs and it'll also show the throughput of each device connected. Overall, it's a very decent setup and I'm not seeing any disconnections between the satellite and the main unit as mentioned by some other reviewers.

I'm getting around 250 Mbps download with Comcast in California and my Asus AC3200 was getting around 120 Mbps before the upgrade to the Orbi system.Read full review

Great for running your Smart home and streaming high definition TV.

Love this. Very fast. I pay for 400 and my wifi is showing its receiving 433Mbps. I have a large ranch house and I couldn't get internet out to my outbuilding with my Nighthawk 1900 A/C now I can get internet all over my property (2 Acres).

It is very easy to set up if you use the app on your phone (Android). I do suggest that once you have it set up that you log on from a computer and check for any updates.

This router is dual band even though it does not show two different networks. You can see this in the advanced settings. My computer runs on 5Ghz and I can see that it is connected to 5Ghz. I have an older computer that only runs on 2.4Ghz and it is connected to that band. I can stream HD TV, run 2 computers and 2 tablets with no problem. I haven't tried to run more at the same time yet.

The Orbi AC3000 RBK50 Wifi Mesh System works great. It solved my wifi issues. I was having trouble with dead zones in my home. I am not really wifi set-up savvy, so when I asked my brother what I should do to fix the issues I was having, he told me about a new wifi mesh system that was on the market. I did some research and settled on this - ORBI AC3000 RBK50. I felt it was a fair price and it promised to deliver. Well I hooked it up today (easy set-up / some set up issues, but not to hard to fix, remember I am NOT wifi savvy at all) Took me about an hour to set-up and work out the bugs. So far, so good. I really can see a true difference in how ALL of my wifi devices perform running on this system. No more dead zones, no more buffering, and devices that simply would not run correctly or at all, are up and running. Works great so far!

I've had the Orbi AC3000 for about 3 weeks now and it's performing perfectly. The setup was really easy. I have a two story home with a finished basement. Most computers and TVs needing wi-fi are either in the basement or second floor. I put the base/router unit is in one corner of the basement and the satellite unit in the middle of the first floor as suggested by Netgear. I have a pretty cluttered house so there is no direct line of site between the router and the satellite unit. There are two walls and a floor separating the two units plus a few pieces of furniture and still they work okay. I have a 4K TV with wi-fi on the second floor where I can't do streaming before and now I can enjoy high definition shows from Netflix. I also had problems before of losing network connection on the second floor so I had to always reset my old router and wi-fi extender. So far with the Orbi I didn't need to do any resets. Also someone can stream shows on the 4K TV while I'm on the computer and someone else watching Netflix in another room (all on the second floor) with no noticeable load or speed downgrade. Amazing Router

Bought this as an open box item, so I was nervous. I am more than pleased with it! My old NETGEAR nighthawk was taking a beating as both of my stepsons recently moved back home, and the wifi was getting crushed with traffic. I needed a solution to keep all devices running smoothly. Did some research, and settled on the Orbi. Wow. What a difference! This thing is FAST. The antenna works incredibly well, and coverage is phenomenal across the whole house. No drops in speed, no buffering in the living room anymore. And my Speedtest results are proof. The wifi speed has more than doubled. My only “complaint” is the shipping speed. It took about ten days to arrive, but considering the price I paid, about $70 cheaper than new, I’m not going to let that affect my score, and neither should anyone else! Resolved all my issues

The Orbi AC3000 system replaced a single router system that did not have the coverage, speed or consistent connectivity that I needed. The Orbi system resolved all of those problems immediately, and it was extremely easy to set up and connect. The router and satellite are also nice looking and quiet, so you don't mind having them sitting in a bedroom or TV room.
