The proximity sensor turns on the display when you pass by, so monitoring the status of your HVAC is almost effortless. The other feature of this product is, at the end of each day and at the end of each month, you can monitor your system usage in hours of operation and graphically see what effects weather and thermostat adjustments have on total use.
