Good, but set up problems.

Had problems setting up my TV to the Smart Stick. Had to input a code on a smartphone or computer. As I do not have a smart phone or access to a computer at that time , I could not finalize the set up. When I finally got a family member to enter the code on my NOWTV account, it worked. I wanted to watch the first month Sky Cinema, then the next month Entertainment. However both automatically loaded and started on the same day. At least the voice control works!Read full review

NOW TV Smart TV Stick Review

Initially bought this to combat the loss of free catchup applications, i.e. All4; My5, that have been vanishing from my Smart Hub because the TV is now 9 years old. However, having tried and tested Netflix and cancelled after two weeks through lack of originality, I ma finding that NOW TV actually has something to offer and I might actually use one or two of the paid entertainment passes from time to time. The stick works very well, very quick and easy to use, you do have to be careful with what you click on, sport being the biggest example here, becuase you could easily end up paying for something that you don't want and sport is the most expensive to be caught out with (£40 per month). The othe TV passes are quite reasonable in price but I probably would only take one of them at a time and frequently cancel and change them to keep the price down.Read full review

NOW TV SMARK STICK - pros and cons

I am an oap and found the stick easy to set up and use. I would though advise anyone else not "tech savvy" to beware of how easy it is to receive unwanted extras - which incur a monthly payment. These are in the form of Passes. In some instances these are given out "free" but which if not cancelled will then be automatically set up for a monthly payment. I received an email telling me I had been given a Month's Pass for Sky which would not be automatically renewed so there would be no future payment taken. There was. Fortunately Nowtv agreed to refund two payments (neither knowingly authorised) and delete my bank details.Read full review

Inexpensive way to view streaming services

All televisions in our house now have separate Now TV sticks running off the I account so no more fighting over what to watch. Good option for TV’s without NowTV I dtalled

I really like this product as I bought a new Sony TV which doesn’t have the NowTV app or Disney+ app. The one thing I would say is that the wall plug sticks out quite far and you cannot use a different flatter USB plug as it is not compatible so if you have a TV flat to the wall with the socket right behind it there isn’t enough space! Turns your TV into a smart TV.
You will need to sign up to a service to activate the stick an make it work. After that if you don’t want to pay for paid to view channels just go back into your account next day and cancel for free your subscription. You will get that for free and the stick will keep working for all free channels. You can sign up to any paid channels for 1 month and stop any time.

Cheaper than sky TV options, the passes are far better value and the stick is a great piece of kit, I would recommend it to anyone. I have got a 12 month entertainment pass for £45 and coupled the stick with a freesat box and now have all the channels that sky give with their entertainment pack at almost nil cost to myself, a complete no brainer.Read full review
