I really like that there is 4 modes for brightness.
This flashlight is plenty bright for me, but some times I don't need all that light. So the possibility to adjust it is genious. Also some modes that I dont use, like SOS or strobe. Very easy to operate, and quality is exellent. Also the beam is good. I am as happy as I can be with this flashlight, and it impresses me. Really well built, and nice finish. If it last a long time, I would say you cant go wrong with it. It demands spesial li-ion batterys, not the flat top.Read full review...

Sturdy with practical features

Great little light
With it being smaller than a giant marker, it packs a serious punch!
It goes down to 1 lumen, all the way up to 1,000. In all reality, it outshines almost every other flashlight hands down.
It comes with a nylon holster, and a removable pocket clip, that really holds.
I carry it everyday, I don't even notice it due to its light weight.

A powerful flashlight in a handy package
I currently own a Nitecore SRT7 purchased only a year ago. However, it let me down in the field with elephants a few times when it failed to work. I then realized the magnetic ring selector and other colors are too many moving parts waiting to fail on you and decided it was but a marketing gimmick to get you, the customer!
I then decided to purchase the P12GT as it was handy and simple. I however have my reservation on the 2000 lumen claim and leave it to other reviewers to verify this. While it is not doubt powerful in the high setting am not sure if it were more powerful than the SRT7 on the high mode.

Excellent upgrade to the regular P12
Similar to the P12 2015 except with a increased throw comparable to larger reflector lights. Now I can have pretty good thrower that can still fit in my pocket. Otherwise it is very similar to the regular P12.
There is indeed a short delay between pressing the button and the light turning on. However I would say it is not really significant, in fact I did not even notice it until I read about it in a review.Read full review...

Fan boy
I've had this light for a month or so now and I'm loving it. I went from the regular P12 to the P12gt and so far I've beaten this light up pretty good on my daily use. It's been dropped several times either by using it or because my daughter thinks it's funny to try to steal it out of my back pocket. I would definitely recommend this to someone for their EDC.
Pros: when I have this light I have a pocket full of sunshine lol. It's well built and durable. Comes with extra rubber tail switch cover and Orings. Shines a really good distance, it's like having a spotlight in your pocket.
Cons: There is a slight delay like. 0.05 sec when you turn on the light compared to the regular P12. IMO it doesn't bother me but it is noticeable.
Overall I love this light and I'm glad I bought it for the collection of lights I have, by far my favorite this far.

A bit overrated
Nitecore has a great reputation for quality products. Because of that their products seem to demand a premium price. The P12GT is a good light but not great, however it has the $$ of the better lights. I like mine but also have lights that are the same quality @ half the price. Super bright light with amazing throw for a 1" diameter tube. Excellent build quality and finish as usual! I’ve had this light for about 2 years and I carry it every day. The lowest setting is low enough not to ruin your vision at night and the brightest is crazy for a light this size. Durability?
