Solid build quality and head rotation is smooth without any wiggle. I used AA battery so far and it is bright at 250 lumens. I would try 14500 li-ion battery to get max brightness of 600 lumens. Good flashlight for the money. But I haven't had it long to know if it will continue to hold up.

It's dependable. You don't have to shake it as with many other fls to get it to come on. There is no strobe, only low, high, off. I don't want the strobe. Battery life holds up.

Handy light for electronic repair

My use, to work on my computers and other electronics.

Pros:
- The light is bright enough with a good enough bright spot. Using a normal alkaline battery.
- The magnet is handy to get light from different angles.
- The 90 degree head bend
- Awesome, along with the magnet it allows light from nearly any location to nearly any other location.
- The "bend" is a rotation of the head which is stiff at first but is better with use but still holds position.
- Has strobe lighting (which I don't use) and high and low lighting (low I don't use).
- In playing with the strobe lighting I just noticed a luminescent ring around the lens which can be seen for a short time when the light is turned off, cool.
- Appears waterproof (which I don't use).

Con:
- Minor to me, requires a half second hold on the switch to turn the light on. Muscle memory remembers tons of switches before this light that do not do that so I often don't turn it on the first time. But I see why they built it like that so I accept the delay. Great pocket light!

Very well built pocket light. Decent brightness using AA battery, but awesome brightness on 14500 cell (which fits and works well). Slim, compact, bright, well worth the investment if using rechargable batteries.

It takes either an single AA battery or 14500 rechargeable battery. That is pretty nice for one flashlight. It gives you 2 options to run it. The head swivels 90 degrees. It is very light weight and has 2 modes for brightness. The clip included and is durable. Very sleek and compact. Fits into the palm of your hand conformabley. Nicron N7 AMAZING!

Seriously... this IS the standard by which all compact led flashlights should meet! Having owned dozens of such lights, the Nicron N7 is by far my absolute favorite. AMAZINGLY BRIGHT when using a 14500 lithium battery. The build quality is solid and strong. The angle head is a great option when attatched to my vest/pocket or backpack shoulder strap. Unlike most other flashlights, you don't have to annoyingly cycle through each light level just to turn it off. A simple long-press to turn on or off, simple as that!
I could say more, but other reviews have already covered the highlights of the N7. For under $20, this light totally blows away my over-priced $50 ‐ $60 compact O-Lights all night long. Buying a few more of these as I write this. Good job on this light Nicron!!Read full review...
