I'm getting excellent throughput at further distances than my previous routers. I'm getting faster download speeds across the house than I am getting standing next to a different router!

Do not follow Instruction Manual precisely.

The router is not a "plug and Play" device. Spent over 90 hours trying to get it to work without success. Followed the manual explicitly. Problem answers on the Netgear site provided no resolution to my problem. Representative from my ISP provider came out and found I was trying to program using dynamic IP. Wrong. My IP is Static. Once entered, the WIFI router worked as described in Netgear literature.. Closest neighbor is about 700 feet away and this router was able to effectively send a signal to their WIFI blue ray player.. Removed antennas and reduced the distance! We will see how long the Nighthawk R6700 continues working. Last Netgear router worked well for four years.Read full review

set up is super simple, gives you an app to control much more. the IP page has flaws like not knowing your sec questions and log in PW sometimes is forgot?! but range is great , 5g lil less but also has option to group both bands together. has guest access chan which is also nice and good app interface.Read full review

Awesome Router

This router’s signal was way stronger than my old Netgear. I tested the signal with a app called “WiFi Analyzer”. The app worked ok but it was a little slow for my liking. Wireless speed test was on point on both bands. Overall for the price, quality and performance I give this router a 5 star.Read full review

Great Router, very easy set up.

I replaced my 10 years old router with this Netgear Knight hawk router which works flawlessly. The main reason why I replace the old one was because U got tiered of having ti reset it in order to keep the internet access working. I also had weak wifi signal in some of the rooms in my house and in other rooms the signal strength was stronger than the one from my old router. All these issues were resolved with this router. The set up was extremely easy and did not have to reconfigure the wifi connection on any of my devices since it allowed me ti use the same SSID and same password I had. before. I love the fact that it comes with dual band so it allowed me ti switch some of my devices ti the 5 Ghz band ( tho so have ti be reconfigured to a 2nd wifi network, but it was definetivvely worth II. A great wireless bridge

I purchased the R6700 to use as a Wireless Bridge so I could connect devices via Ethernet to my wireless network. My devices have their own WiFi antennas, but the connection via the R6700 is stronger and more powerful. The web interface is easy to use, which made setup very quick.Read full review
