NetGear R6080 AC1000 Dual-Band Wireless AC Router Speed Delivers
The NetGear R6080 AC1000 Dual-Band Wireless AC Router was a great fit for our needs. We have a medium size house and the signal is great within the entire house. Also the price was perfect and the router speed delivers. Our last router gave wireless speeds around 30 mbps and from our provider we are supposed to have 100 mbps with this router we are 92 mbps with wireless and 98 mbps with hardwired. I do plan to increase our speed from our provider soon and I am confident that the speeds will be comparable.

Not a WiFi router
I bought it because I wanted to save money every month on my isp, but this isn't a WiFi router instead is a WiFi booster, signal has improved a lot. Twu bands booster.

I had to flash the firmware over ethernet when I bought mine used on e-bay. There are some quirks to the software--many settings will get locked in if you use it in Access Point Mode. It's best to set everything up in normal router mode first, even if you want to then use APM. The hardware has been as reliable as all my past Netgear routers.Read full review

Great home wifi router.
It's very good for relatively slow home cable use. I think it will be fine for at least 3 years when cable speeds will start climbing up to 300 or more BPS.

Basic, solid range and signal, no need to spend more
Works great, I have two of these chained together for the front and back of my house. (Probably 50 feet apart) and the range/signal quality is better than other basic routers I've tried (TP-Link and Belkin N300s) maybe due to the AC spec but either way, for basic use these are great routers. No real reason to spend 3-4x on a new model router when this will suffice for HD streaming on multiple devices. Read full review

Netgear AC1000 Router
The Netgear router i purchased was a good one but did not meet the internet speeds my ISP provides me I needed one that would do 200 + MBPS and this one would only do 100 MBPS so i had to upgrade to a better model router but this did what it was designed for but i can resell it and make my money back.Read full review

Did not work with my modem.
I connected it the way it says to connect it with the directions. I tried several times to get this to work but it would not connect to my internet. It would say it was connected to the internet but I could not connect to WiFi with this. Read full review

great router
very easy to set up and has worked fine since day one. There's nothing exciting about a router. It works. Can't beat netgear for a quality router.
