No for a wireless service

I have had this router provably a year ago as router that TimeWarner Cable now Spentrum provided for my internet, my experience with it was somewhat ok for the most part even though I had problems trying top connect devices to it, wireless, I tried and tried and cellphone or laptops will not connect to itor will drop a connection. However, this router works great just as a cable connected only Ethernet connection.
Some time passed and I had another router that TWC gave me it was working good it was a TECHNICOLOR TC8715D had no problems with it. Just I have had always trying to get my own modem/router so I recently bought this router Netgear CG3000D to replace the Router that time Warner provided I was trying to save the cost of leasing, this router will save me $10/ month and this Router it's only $30 so I hope it works for more than 3 months so I start saving $$$ even better if it works for more than 2 years I'll be happy since it was used, I also have a regular router Asus RT-AC66U which I connect to the Net-gear in that way I can have Ethernet ,and wireless internet with no problems.

Does the job.

My first Netgear CG300D first modem worked fine until lightning struck close by. It took out this cable modem and my separate phone module. Both of these were plugged into a surge suppressor / battery backup. Go figure. I bought another one exactly the same to replace it. This time I'm putting the power supply on the battery side of the of the backup. The wireless WIFI connects easily with my cellphone. I'm using a OBi200 phone module and Google Voice with this router modem.Read full review

acceptable for local ISP

this box was a bargain - has some issues dropping the signal (about every 3 days, so far). buy a better quality router if you can. will continue to use it until it quits or we switch providers. definitely saved a lot of money over the ISP box. Good luck!Read full review

Works great, but got delivered later than expected

The modem is very easy to setup, it also has detailed instructions how to do it. Overall, I recommend this product.

The package came through usps and was delivered 3 days later than expected, got me a little bit worried.Read full review

netgear 3000 modem

Item works well and is of good value. Dealing with your ISP to activate is a bit more difficult, usually.

Works well for a low cost option for cable and internet

Works well for a lower end option for cable and wifi.
