The thermal caraff (as it pronounced) is great and coffee stays hot, you can even touch the surface because its double wall. It brews coffee great! This is an exact replacement for our original one which lasted 10 yrs.+ and is still brewing. The start button gave out and we had to brew on clean, which takes longer and makes stronger coffee.
