My second one- I like it a lot, but if you have hard water, use a filter

My first one died because of calcium build-up on the shower head; use a filter if you have hard (I have VERY hard) water. You may need more coffee, or a finer grind, because it brews quickly (it's supposed to). In return, you get coffee that's not bitter. Meh, it's okay

I was a little disappointed with this coffee maker. It's hard to clean inside the thermal pot, your hand won't fit inside to scrub. The small basket that holds the coffee has a filter which sits over the top of coffee grinds. Most time the coffee overflows when brewing and gets in the coffee in the thermal pot. I like my coffee dark so I use a lot of coffee grinds, but even using the recommended amount of grinds the basket is still too small with the filter. Not a great design. I think I'll ditch the filter. Coffee is good and hot.Read full review

Terrific Coffee

This is the second pot like this that we've owned and we purchased the second one because the first made such excellent coffee. It has a water filter that removes chlorine and we think that's what makes such a good brew. It brews a pot very quickly, has a timer and clean pot reminder. The only negative is that the carafe doesn't keep coffee hot as long as we'd like. I highly recommend this coffee maker.Read full review

Good tasting coffee but

This coffeemaker is a nice addition to the kitchen decor and it makes a very good cup of coffee but there are a few designs issues which need to be addressed. There are 2 things which stand out and need correction otherwise I love this machine. There is a water filter that inserts in the top of the coffee basket. It is designed to remove Chlorine from the water.
In each case when you clean out the old coffee grinds that soggy filter either ends up on the counter, your hand and if you do not pay attention it might even end up on the floor. Mine fell on the floor once and it does become a point of irritation. The Second thing is the cover that fits on the water tank. It is simple in design but it falls short in that it is like putting a puzzle together. I give this machine about 4 stars.Read full review

Amazing cup of coffee...

I have a large espresso machine, so usually make espresso drinks. I had a cheap Mr. Coffee with glass carafe and heater burner. The glass broke eventually and I borrowed this machine temporarily. I was SHOCKED by how good the coffee tasted. Same beans, much superior brew. If you are using a typical glass version, I HIGHLY recommend you give this a try, and you can go wrong at the prices they are currently getting; about the same as 8 or 9 specialty drinks from a leading coffee chain. And get this: *timed brewing*. Nothing nicer than the gentle tone telling me "arise and get some freshly brewed coffee, old friend." Oh yeah, looks slick too. One more note, it stays acceptably hot for about two hours, warm for about another hour. Then, dump and repeat.Read full review

A Good Cup ofCofee

It brews at just the right temperature for a good cup of coffee. Fast brew. The thermal pot keeps the coffee hot for several hours. Taller than most under cabinet makers. If you a going to put it under cabinet it would be awkward and I would not recommend it.Read full review

A Replacement

This is a replacement for the same product I have had for about 8 years. The old coffee maker was starting to not make the coffee as hot as I like. But after eight years of daily use I think it did well. The new Mr. Coffee makes my coffee as hot as I like it and quite quickly also. Better than Cuisinart!

I’ve always had Cuisinart coffee makers, but the warming plate always rusted out and so did the carafe! I decided a change was in order so I went for the Mr. Coffee Machine.
