Easy to use

The Soup maker is like a heavy solid kettle and easy to use, There are no complicated bits - There is and instruction booklet with recipes to follow.
I followed one recipe to make chunky soup but on opening the lid after the 28 minutes were up I was very disappointed with the way the soup looked so I cooked it all again on the smooth setting and the result was much better.
The outside of the jug gets very hot like a pan or a kettle.

This is just the best. Despite my worries about having yet another gadget cluttering up the worktop this makes delicious soup from scratch in 20 minutes. All you are required to do is roughly chop whatever you wish to add to your soup maker along with a stockpot, seasoning and some water. No need to sauté any veg etc beforehand. It's all prepared in the same unit so only one item to wash up at the end. I haven't used the smoothie function but I'm sure it will be just as good.Read full review

On a diet, I was told to eat more veg. but I don't particularly like too many vegetables at once but I do like soup! Tinned soup I found had too much salt in most brands so homemade soup was the answer.

The internet has loads of recipes for the soup maker and dozens for the Morphy Richards as this appears to be the most popular make worldwide. It is very easy to use and I make great soup with little effort - bung the ingredients in the soup maker, set either chunky or smooth and press the start button and presto 21 or 28 minutes later depending on the setting the soup is ready.
