Milwaukee M18 compact is top notch. But DeWalt is a very, very close second. Neither would be a mistake.
Lot's of research ahead of this purchase. Professionals rated the Milwaukee compact router and the DeWalt nearly identical in quality and features. I could of gone with either. I don't have religion on power tool "color". But I do have the Milwaukee batteries so that was my choice. My other router is a powered DeWalt. Excellent for my one-man manufacturing work. Great power but that’s about it.
Team red fuel always has great power but that’s about all there is to brag about. The micro adjuster is way too easy to adjust accidentally while handling the router. The accessories are crappy and limited. If I wasn’t so invested in team red I would have picked the yellow router. This would be good for someone who basic work. They do not offer a D handle, and the other bases are as pricey as the tool itself. Read full review

Little tool was hungry
I used a harbor freight 1/2" straight cut bit on 3/4" mdf wood. Had it set I setting 1 of 6 and it cut without hesitation.
I'm sure if I used a real bit from a company who builds quality sharp bits, I would of had much cleaner cuts. But the tool never hesitated. I went through 2 m18 5.0 batteries and it kept going. Never heated up to the point I felt it would fail.
I had to clean my work of debris frequently otherwise my bit would have a hard time cutting and the dust would melt unto it causing less cutting. I guess I could of used the fancy vacuum attachment while I made these cuts. Read full review

light weight, no cords, and easy to switch out cutter bits.
The Milwaukee Compact Router is awesome for many reason first would be no cord to deal with the operator can focus 100 percent of the work being accomplished. This tool as high battery power demand so always start the work with a good fully charged battery. It's a Milwaukee it works.Read full review

Milwaukee 2723-20 compact router
This is an M18 cordless mini router. It works well for light jobs, it has good grip.
The fine adjustment is great, I used it to make a round edge 5/64, and had to realign the bid height several times (after 2-3 boards).
I use Allen key to tighten the grip between the base and the top, but I have to realign once every few boards.
I bought it as I use Milwaukee M18 batteries.
The tool is built well, but there are other options that cost less, as long that you have the right batteries. Also there are corded units, that cost much less.

M18 Fuel Router
As Finish Carpenter and a lover of Milwaukee tools, this router is amazing. Micro and macro adjustments, lighted cut area and a great feel im hand. With a M18 6Ah battery, I routed five 16 foot planks of poplar with ease. Accessory kit included for all facets of using the router makes it an unbeatable value.Read full review

Very compact, very precise, a joy to use.
Really like this router. It is powerful and precise, well-built so it doesn't vibrate and you can use it for a long time. I found both the base plates it comes with to be useful. I am surprised how much easier it is to do precise work due to the built-in LED lighting, and the included attachment for dust extraction. The only adjustment I made was with a hex key to tighten up the lock for the height adjust.
I am totally impressed. Read full review
nice tool
I just retired last year and looking into some wood work tools and this is a real nice item. It's strong and easy to use and handle...not big or bulky and fun to use. I'm just starting to find the different things I can use and I'm looking into using it on a home made router table and see about more fun :)Read full review

Great Legit Seller and Product
Just another quality product in my Milwaukee tool bag. This seller is legit and it is an original tool with all documenttaion, including registration codes. I was a Porter Cable commercial owner until 10 years ago and haven't looked back. M12 systems where weight is as factor and M18 when you need horsepower, especially those big batteries!Read full review

Small but good
Good for what it is. It's a small router, 1/4" shank only so it's not for the big jobs but it works great for small jobs and it's light and easy to use. I'll be using it even when power is available because cordless is good.Read full review
