Buying a Range finder ? Read my review

Scratch golfer review. Please do not waste your time on a bushnell or a garmin gps watch or anything else. This is very acurate, so easy to use and within a second your yardage is up. It does the exact same thing you need (yardage) as the more expensive range finders and is way better compared to watches for golfers who are more precise with there yardage. All in all this thing is a BARGAIN it cost me £70 and compared to prices for other yardage readers you'd be a mug not to buy this. If you are considering buying a rangefinder and haven't made your mind up yet I highly highly recommend you do as it will improve your game i play off scratch and since the 2 weeks I've had it I'm so confident over the ball now as i know my exact yardage which is just breeding confidence in every shot. Don't use in competition

Good price, and a neat looking device in a useful carry case. But:
1. The two golf modes available both include slope adjusted distance. This does not seem to be able to be switched off, and as a result the device is not legal for use in competition- see Rules of Golf 4.3a(1).
2. the battery case cover has a very flimsy catch and is likely to come open if touched. I have secured it with some tape.Read full review

Saves using a long tape measure.

I use it for Airgun targets, put the target down, check the distance and move accordingly, fantastic, simple, worth every penny, I love just playing with it, ideal for accurately getting the distance for shooting golf balls and other small targets. We have also used it to check the slope on building sites as a rough guide for setting the drain etc.

Brilliant rangefinder for the money. No use in buying bushnell when this does the same job. Yardages match up to my garmin watch too so really accurate. If you're wanting to switch the slope off, they have another product that offers that option. Only mistake by myself was not recognising this rangefinder doesnt have that option. Great rangefinder for a great reasonable price

I am a 18 hc golfer. On my hilly course its been difficult clubbing myself. This device, for £50, yes only £50, gives me accurate enough, and often surprising yardage that helps me commit to my choice of club.
