Works good, app is kinda lame

The part is easy to install, getting it all set up with the app was kinda tricky, the instructions were kind of vague. I found a video on their website that showed a step that is not shown on the instructions that came with part and that made it go much smoother. Basic but it works

The system was very easy to set up, and it connected right away.

It's nice to be able to open and close the gate using the app. And to be tell from the app the status of the gate.

I wish it could do a bit more, like program the keypad from the app (thus allowing me to add/delete key codes). I also wish I could tell it to leave the gate open, and maybe even schedule a time for the gate to close (like in the evenings). I think so much more could be done with the app.

So the short of it is that the functionality is pretty basic, but it's easy to set up and use.Read full review

This is gate lock number three.

The original finally quit after 10 faithful years. Replacement number one lasted about two years.

Now installed replacement number two. Hope to get more than two years.

Recommend because there is no alternate.

Value : expensive, but there is no alternate.

Quality : feels heavy in hand, well built. I just hope the insides hold up longer than two years.

Only Works When GTO Servers are Online (Not that often)

Bridge works great when the GTO servers are online, which is about 50% of the time. The rest of the time, I get a message "Can't connect to GTO server". When the servers are offline, I have to walk out to the gate with a remote to let the UPS driver in. PITA.

I just purchased a Sonoff wi-fi switch that I will be testing. So far, in the office, it works flawlessly, no server/hub required. Tomorrow I will put it at the gate and see how it does.Read full review

We have a front gate on our far with the Electric Gate opener on it, people could easily push the gate open enough to just walk in, not quite secure. FM143 gate lock works!

I was expecting this to be a light weight simple solenoid latch but it isn't cheesy at all. Weighs around 7 lbs. and is quite durable. Super long cord. Really a nice finish on the paint.

Adds some security and keeps big animals from forcing the gate

It doesn't come with installation hardware because of the many different possibilities for mounting. I just needed some U-bolts and regular bolts, plus nuts and washers, and a metal plate. Turns out the stop plate that came with the opener years ago did the job.
It comes with a small circuit board that's needed for some models but my opener has lock terminals which I just connected the lock to.
Everything has to be lined up to work right, may require some trial and error. Requires handyman/shade tree mechanic skill level.Read full review
